There was one time, during that interview with the triplets, when Tommy had a big stupid grin on his face. It disappeared, but not quick enough when the other camera came on him. Gas man. All I'm thinking is, his missus is at home watching this.

Never liked Tommy as a comedian

Does anybody remember someone posting about getting a soil sampler a while back somewhere on this forum?

If anyone can remember the post or the thread, could you PM me the details?

    Thanks in advance.

I was left hanging twice now for one so at this stage I would prefer to have one myself as I will be doing more samples in the next few years.

Would you not just use a shovel - and try to get a narrow cross section as best you can?

(I fear I have totally revealed myself as a cowboy now have I?) ;):)

Failing that, *I think* twas Muckit used an old gate bar, he halved it so the earth could be easily removed...

One of the good things about having snow on the ground is seeing all the bird/wildlife footprints in the fresh snow

Does agriland be very stuck for content sometimes?
    http://www.agriland.ie/farming-news/wanted-contractor-to-take-over-huge-1250ac-farm/
From a link, followed another link about a farm looking to be contract farmed on the fens near Peterborough, it will be gobbled up by a firm like Dj collets or Green farming ltd. While it's an example of how now 55% of land sold in the uk is to non farmers seeing as how they have a land agent involved it will go to who has the flashest gear and gives the agent a few days shooting.

    Did Muckit not make one?

Indeed. We noticed our fox's foot prints missing from snow this time. Would always seem them round house and up on bins but not this time. Last time I saw him a few months ago he had a large wound on his side, probably clipped by car. Likely an infection I suppose, was big and old colour well faded. Youngest will be happy as he snapped one of her chickens last year.

Yes! Old bar of a gate. Slit and cut off one half of tube up 3". Then just bent top bit over for a handle. Photo in old phone. I'd say its in the guntering tread back last March/April. It did the trick. Had a flat head screwdriver in pocket to scoop out cores.

Edit: found it ....posted 14 April 16

A good day today. First off snared the fox that was decimating the mothers hens then finally going clear in the TB test and Munster winning away to Glasgow. And I just came out after dinner and found a new STQ Heifer calf up and sucking. Sometimes farming is great.

Can't beat getting a fox. Have one coming here a while and I'll get him yet. A few dogs around too so I dont want to set snare.
Ill trap him when he gets confident...

Myself and the young lass stayed in the parents last night. House still comes to a standstill here on a Sunday morning for the death notices. Was bloody afraid to breath during them

And everyone crowds around the radio.

Dad says sometimes when I call, "ask the Google to check the rip.ie site. Want to see if I'm on it!" He's gas.

, Went to see Keith Barry in Athlone last night, He's unbelieveable, even a bit disturbing at times.
It's a brave person that'd volunteer to go on stage with him.
    Very good show,
