The top gun thing. It should have been awesome but it just didn't work. It was like when you watch and love a show when you're a kid and then your parents start to like it and it ruins it for you.

Is everything going to be a 1 brit , 1 american situation now? Will they bring out a German for a 10 second cameo too?

Jurgen klopp driving an opel. Now i would happily watch that

    Evans seems unbelievably nervous.

That Ferrari key is very disappointing. Like something you'd find on ebay if you wanted a tacky fiat key.

    Very meh!

I do like the new track mind.

"it's 1 all, it could'nt be more exciting"

    I beg to differ Chris.

So they've turned the track into a rally stage and picked a MINI as the car.

    Biggerer... Betterer... Er, no

The new star in a rallycross car is way better than the old format I think, I usually skipped through that. Rest of the show is rubbish so far.

Yay for the water splash. Come on ffs.

Those of a certain age will remember BBC Grandstand and when they had auto cross (now called rally cross apparently) from Lydden Hill in Kent.

I'm not sure this will work, but at least it's new.

Unless things improve a lot in the next 25 minutes, I won't be watching again.

    Evans is insufferable.

I haven't watched it yet but the missus point-blank is refusing to watch it.
Apart from a new track, is it really that bad?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,264 ✭✭✭fran17

Seems they made a conscious effort when Evans is talking in studio to put,how shall I say,the less attractive ladies in the frame?Complete opposite to Clarkson's day.

Jeez, LeBlanc is rubbish. I shan't be watching any more.

Have to agree, think Evens is trying too hard to be Clarkson...

TG original was obviously scripted but it was beautifully natural like it was all off the cuff. This is just painful ****. You can imagine thousands of retakes and Evans presiding over the production criticising everything.

This LeBlanc section is the best of it so far. He's far better than Evans.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,941 ✭✭✭krustydoyle

Ahh lads, come on LeBlanc isn't that bad.. at least he doesn't come across like Evans

  • Registered Users Posts: 767 ✭✭✭raspberrypi67

    god they are ****e....

Yep. I even laughed once or twice.

It all seems very scripted and stilted but I suppose it will take a while to get used to the changes and they hopefully will get more comfortable doing it..in saying that its very disappointing tonight.

I had low expectations, but they have under delivered and how.....

    Zero charisma or craic.

What the hell is the point of the Reliant piece.

Somewhere between Matt and Chris is a likeable and animated presenter. But both are terrible.

Matt has no charisma and sounds thick and bored and like it is all beneath him during the humour bits, ok reviewing the Nomad though.

    Chris needs a valium...

Yeah, I agree. Le Blanc isn't bad. Evans is, and always has been, a knob.

Just realised this is on rte as well.
