Would this be a feature of any of the ROMs out there now? I was put off flashing ROMs on my OPO3 because would loose dash charging but I understand oneplus plan to release the relevant source code soon.

Yep I would say loads of ROMs out there will have something along those lines.

But AFAIK, You don't even need change the ROM in order to get this type of control. Having superuser permissions should give you access to it... or at least it use to. I hate it when the manufacture thinks they know better then me on what looks (runs, plays, is compatible ect) on my device than me! its my device dagnabbit!!

Question for people that got their phone already.
My phone left Hannover on Thursday night and there has been no further developments. Is this normal?

OK for those having the YouTube 480p bug (ie, can't select 720 or 1080p-60fps playback from any video) I have a fix!

Tested and working on my OP3

First close the youtube app and go into settings, Apps and scroll down and hit YouTube.
Now tap Disable App BUT say NO to downgrading to earliest version, next tap Clear Cache followed by Clear Data.
Reboot Phone but just to be sure I would do it again once it booted back up without opening the youtube app.

Once done twice you will (should) see 1080p vids once more.

Just smashed my S3 after maybe 4 years. Always said I replace with a OPO. Few questions. How much? Where do I buy? And if I am moderately tech savvy will I get the benefits of this phone?

I'm rooted, and I downloaded the latest signed flashable zip and installed it using twrp.

Here's some instructions and links, if required.

Excuse my stupidity but do you have to download the signed flashable zip and then the OTA zip? Like the both of them? or is it just the OTA? Can't follow the wording of it on XDA

    I did it earlier.
Flash the 3.2.1 signed flashable zip, wipe cache and dalvik, flash supersu, wipe cache and dalvik again and reboot.

    Second wipe probably not necessary

Oh and do a backup 1st.

Not liable for your phone going boom ;-)

You'll get a text from DHL.

Theyre going from szczecin to Poznan to Hanover to Brussels

Well thats where mine has been so far and stopped, no update in 2 days.

How did you get your tracking number?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,962 ✭✭✭Greenman

Tracking number comes from DHL via tekst ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,086 ✭✭✭GustavoFring

I got a tracking number on my dispatch email from OnePlus but there was express shipping on that. Still no movement since Tuesday on the DHL site. Reading between the lines the tracking number is automatically generated and while it says despatched on my orders it isn't actually.

None of the fiddling have ever worked for me, even doing full resets of the phone, or this method, still remains at 480p max resolution on 60fps vids.

Same mine came in the dispatch email at the very bottom but have full updates since getting it says it left Brussels at 6.30 this evening. There was no update for a day and a half after leaving Hanover but moving again

Same, guess they're on the same pallet of something. Hopefully we'll see them on Monday?

I was the same until I read about doing it twice in a row and not loading up the app in between those steps, once I followed the intrusions to the letter it then worked... and is still working.

Maybe restart your phone before trying so no services are running and make sure you are connected on wifi as if your connection is less than H it wont give you anything more than 480 anyway. I have also tested this on a g4 and it worked there two.

Doing a resets of the phone wont help, also don't revert to the original version.

Mine left Brussels at 01.59 Thursday night/Friday morning, no update since. Still says estimated delivery day is Monday. Not sure I have much faith in that though!

Mine must be on the same shipment as yours. Delivery was originally scheduled for Friday but no update since it left Brussels at 1:59am Friday morning.

My Oneplus One is on its last legs after a drop, so I've been searching for a suitable replacement. I had been holding out for the Zte Axon 7, but after seeing this camera comparison video I ordered the Oneplus 3.

In other comparison videos the Axon 7 losses in pretty much every category, bar sound quality.

Me too! You don't know if it had to hit the UK or straight to Ireland.

Correct. I have an Anker charger and type C cable, and I get a fast (but not Dash) charge. I use it for overnight charging.
