Lovely soft, misty rain in North Clare now. Looks like it's down for the day.

Took the kids to Corkagh park this afternoon, had a picnic and saw some animals in the petting farm, perfect summers day.

Cloudy in Galway and a fabulous mist has also descended on us:cool: the usual @$#%:pac:

    22ºc in Bray. Humidex 26ºc.

    Unbroken Blue Skies

Wicklow mountain Fohn effect and cloud shield at full strength.

    Bray Summer Fest

I have never seen so many people at the seafront outside of the Airshow.

Apparently traffic into Bray is backed up all the way back to leopardstown.

    Incredible day

Sea breeze died down, temperature shooting up as a result, currently 25C, hotter outside than inside the house, very weird (for Ireland)

21.5C currently in Castlebar, but the rain has started again, we have only had one fully dry day in about the last 9 days.

My Davis got to 26.3 here earlier
    Down to 24.9 now
    Friday was 27
So the third day in a row in South Wicklow above 25c

Going outside from inside is like stepping off a plane in Corfu or somewhere at the moment
Breeze is off the land not the sea hence no cooling sea breeze

On holidays in Kerry for the weekend. Should have stayed in Kildare apparently.

  • Registered Users Posts: 272 ✭✭Padster90s

If Met Eireanns forecast comes to pass we should have a yellow high temperature warning tomorrow evening. Might not though, don't think they bothered with high temperature warnings in 2014. Issued a good few in 2013 though.

Sheit weather here in west Kerry

I don't know what drugs the forecasters are taking but it doesn't work combined with weather forecasting

been in the 20s here since Thursday, the east looks hanging onto the 20s for another week, although very low 20s from Wednesday. Today was mostly unbroken sunshine except for about an hour of cloud between 5 and 6, still feeling warm now at 22C, tomorrow should be about 4C hotter than today. Feel sorry for people stuck in offices tomorrow and Tuesday.

We now have drizzle to go with the utter gloom all day so far in east Galway
    And it is not warm
    Hopefully things improve tomorrow

High of 24.8c here today in Dubkin 16. 22.5c atm, clear and sunny. Pretty much as good a summers day as you could get/expect in Ireland.

  • Registered Users Posts: 10,101 ✭✭✭✭Oscar Bravo

Its feeling very uncomfortable here in Castlebar now, low cloud/mist with some drizzle, 17.5 degrees, dew point is 16.7 so humidity = 95%

The tar will be melting on the roads by Tuesday ( before the rain gets to it in places especially the W / NW by evening)

So according to the chart above, we could expect 17c in the Irish Sea. This will also be the highest in Irish waters since July 2013.

The chart above refers to temp at 2m, the sea temp at the M2 buoy today at 18.00 was 14.9C so could probably be a degree or so higher by late Tuesday I guess.
