INFJ too. Interesting to look at, though I'd hardly put as much credence in these as astrology.

Not sure if you're kidding or not... but being introverted is in no way a bad thing and it certainly doesn't mean that you resemble the archetypal example of a loner who can't socialise.

If anything introverts are more secure and comfortable in their own skin imo.

I absolutely agree with you. There can be a bit of a stigma around being introverted. Susan Cain wrote an excellent book called Quiet which looks at addressing the misconceptions of introversion.

Also many posters here have gotten Introvert somewhere in their results and they certainly don't strike me as weird or unable to socialise.

Them tests aren't accurate as no way could I be 97% introverted...I'm not that weird FFS :pac:
Just means that you're 97% sure you are an introvert, as opposed to telling you you're some mental hermit

You might be some mental hermit though, I dunno. The test doesn't tell you that.

Quiet is my hand out book, anyone I get talking to about anything remotely resembling introversion gets my worn dog-eared copy handed to them! The Ted talk is also my most emailed link... I'm like a Susan Cain apostle or something! :o

Yet you're engaging with me! A fluffy yellow type!

Where did you find the colour test?

    Charismatic
    Unflappable
    Narcissistic
    Talented

Not sure and if there's an acronym.

    :pac:

    I think we ddos'd 16personalities!

Intp apparently. Seems accurate and (allegedly!) amongst company such as Einstein and Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin.

Interesting anyway, thanks OP. They were thinking about doing some testing like this at work.

"INTPs usually come to distrust authority as hindering the uptake of novel ideas and the search for knowledge. INTPs accept ideas based on merit, rather than tradition or authority. They have little patience for social customs that seem illogical or that obstruct the pursuit of ideas and knowledge"

A disproportionate amount of introverts on here?

All the extroverts are out there.

Where did you find the colour test?

I had it done as part of a grad programme. I'm not sure if it's available anywhere online. If you ever get a chance to do it I definitely found it much more insightful than the Myers Briggs one!

    Intp.

    Bang on the money.

Likewise - it was organised by the company I worked for. Costs about €150 per person.
    It's incredibly eye-opening.
    E.g.
We were finally established as whatever colour and were then sent off to our respective coloured whiteboards to 'organise a party'. That was the remit.

Red: Ensure all instructions are sent out promptly
Green: A picnic in the park to cater for married couples and families
Blues: Details. Down to a contingency for if it rained or if the transport failed.
Yellows: hula skirts, rock music, beach, volleyball, champagne, cocktails.

It was unbelievable to see the distinct difference between the colours.

Essentially the point of it is to see how the different colours/characters each have different strengths and weaknesses. So, while a yellow might be great at coming up with an idea, a blue will take care of the details, a red will take overall charge and a green will be the diplomat/firefighter. It's really good to see how teams work together and for people who are shy can come to terms with the outgoing loud-mouth so to speak.

    ESFJ

    Extravert(16%) Sensing(3%) Feeling(6%) Judging(16%)

You have slight preference of Extraversion over Introversion (16%)
You have marginal or no preference of Sensing over Intuition (3%)
You have slight preference of Feeling over Thinking (6%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (16%)

I'm terribly on the fence. :)

Thanks for all that Bob. It's very interesting indeed. I can see how it would be useful in an organisational context. I might see if I can come across a free one somewhere.

ENFP, apparently. Basically seems to mean I'm flighty, and according to the link I did, I share my personality type with Bill Cosby and Ariel from the Little Mermaid...

Has anyone ever done the one where you're either Red, Blue, Green or Yellow? I found it to be the most insightful and accurate. It doesn't simply give you a description of that colour's characteristics, it gives very individual results.

Luscher colour test? Don't pick black...

    Another INFJ anseo.

Went through a phase of watching INFJ youtubers and reading up on it in the past, and I definitely found it to be an uncannily accurate description of my personality. Researching it did help me figure out certain interactions I was having with people and why I felt a certain way.

    Certain x 2 in one paragraph... :)

    Switch between ISTP or INTP

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,377 ✭✭✭✭Arghus

    INFP.

I would doubt how accurate these tests can really be; it just seems a little too neat for the complexity of the subject.

Having said that, I did recognise myself, a lot, in the description of the personality type.

ENTP, the "inventor" apparently. Sounds like a fair bit of flimflam to the whole thing TBH.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

They are 100% accurate - accept your fate!

Of course thay are only a guideline really. Some of the questions are just so obvious that you could be answering them subconciously to shift your result in any direction you choose.

I also believe that your personality changes over time so chances are that you may behave similar to one personality type in friendships, but a totally different type when it comes to romance.

Just my thoughts on it though. I am in no way an expert on the issue!
