I read into a lot of these tests the same as horoscopes, if you say enough things, some of them are bound to apply the current circumstances.

Sorry agri, but I read that with an extra 'e' & thought that result was a bit harsh.

I thought so until I did the colour wheel one but the book I got was like an owner operator manual for TG1!! And 25 of us who did it together got 25 different books... It was a bit creepy. Even my mother read it and said this is what I've been trying to tell you for twenty something years....

Well I've just done the test linked to (the free one) and I'm ESFJ (Extravert(88%) Sensing(9%) Feeling(66%) Judging(1%)

You have strong preference of Extraversion over Introversion (88%)
You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (9%)
You have distinct preference of Feeling over Thinking (66%)
You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

    Description:

Guardians of birthdays, holidays and celebrations, ESFJs are generous entertainers. They enjoy and joyfully observe traditions and are liberal in giving, especially where custom prescribes.

All else being equal, ESFJs enjoy being in charge. They see problems clearly and delegate easily, work hard and play with zest. ESFJs, as do most SJs, bear strong allegiance to rights of seniority. They willingly provide service (which embodies life's meaning) and expect the same from others.

ESFJs are easily wounded. And when wounded, their emotions will not be contained. They by nature "wear their hearts on their sleeves," often exuding warmth and bonhomie, but not infrequently boiling over with the vexation of their souls. Some ESFJs channel these vibrant emotions into moving dramatic performances on stage and screen.

Strong, contradictory forces consume the ESFJ. Their sense of right and wrong wrestles with an overwhelming rescuing, 'mothering' drive. This sometimes results in swift, immediate action taken upon a transgressor, followed by stern reprimand; ultimately, however, the prodigal is wrested from the gallows of their folly, just as the noose tightens and all hope is lost, by the very executioner!

An ESFJ at odds with self is a remarkable sight. When a decision must be made, especially one involving the risk of conflict (abhorrent to ESFJs), there ensues an in-house wrestling match between the aforementioned black-and-white Values and the Nemesis of Discord. The contender pits self against self, once firmly deciding with the Right, then switching to Prudence to forestall hostilities, countered by unswerving Values, ad exhaustium, winner take all.

As caretakers, ESFJs sense danger all around--germs within, the elements without, unscrupulous malefactors, insidious character flaws. The world is a dangerous place, not to be trusted. Not that the ESFJ is paranoid; 'hyper-vigilant' would be more precise. And thus they serve excellently as protectors, outstanding in fields such as medical care and elementary education.

(ESFJ stands for Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging and represents individual's preferences in four dimensions characterising personality type, according to Jung's and Briggs Myers' theories of personality type.)

What is this couler wheel thing about??

Basically it uses the Myers Briggs parameters but looks at them in a more nuanced way, and assigns colours to the traits. You get a position on the wheel based on percentages of colours. It also looks at your conscious vs subconscious personality traits... There's loads to it and at the end you get a book based on your individual personality traits. It shows you how to interact with your opposite colours and things. I found it very good when I had it done.

Same as that, very useful. It summarises how to manage you, what not to say to you as your manager, your strengths, weaknesses, how you are as a manager, how you are otherwise. I found it to be 98% accurate I would say.

TG1. What was your most embarassing weakness?

Mine was something along the lines of 'Bob has an inflated sense of importance'. Admittedly, I have. *For shame

Yeh, the most useful bit I found was that it was workplace orientated. Because my primary colour is blue I'm always right ;) so it went into how to mange upwards and downwards without alienating those more inclined to words creativity and results rather than detail and accuracy which is something I need to work on every single day so it was very useful!

Them tests aren't accurate as no way could I be 97% introverted...I'm not that weird FFS :pac:

    INTJ
    Introvert(72%)  iNtuitive(47%)  Thinking(34%)  Judging(62%)

I used to always get INFJ on this up to a couple of years ago and I felt that described me better. But overall I wouldn't have much faith in any personality tests, let alone online ones like these.

Did you do a workshop on it or just the online test thing? Because MY GOD was that enlightening.

Mine was TG1 holds others to impossible standards and will not engage with those she perceives can not reach those standards.

Basically I won't deal with people I think aren't good enough.... It's true although I don't like to admit it!

All here being Introverted, quietly judging everyone else.

Not sure if you're kidding or not... but being introverted is in no way a bad thing and it certainly doesn't mean that you resemble the archetypal example of a loner who can't socialise.

If anything introverts are more secure and comfortable in their own skin imo.
