What is the exact metric for the price changes? The metric is what I assumed people will disagree on.

It's based directly on how a player does in relation to the average, not on number of transfers in/out.

6 points or more above average, he goes up by 0.2m
3 - 5 points above average, he goes up by 0.1m
    etc.

Very simple. I like it as I find myself making transfers based on players performances, not trying to predict/worry about price rises. Also, as they can't go up multiple times during a week, you can just wait til right before the deadline to make a transfer.

Oh I see, I didn't actually cop that this was the metric.

Just a mere 127 points for me this week, still only 3rd best in the boards league, Onecoldhand is 30th in the world and climbing some achievement.

God, playing 2 fantasy games is hard work!

Transfer deadlines on Wednesday (MLS), Friday (MLS) and Saturday (FPL)!

Ah here that's nothing if you play fantasy MLB (the sport that invented fantasy games) - daily lineup deadlines with different game times every day of the week, 2,430 games in 180 days or so

Well this is the last week of MLS and I have to say I really enjoyed it especially during the summer. I was happy to be ranked in the top 2k but still only good enough for 4th in the Boards League with Onecoldhand 76th in the world leading the way.
The head to head is down to the wire with myself being 2 points behind 'Lost without Aguero'(CSF?) who plays Mr P(I think) in the last game, I play (the presciently titled) Theoswinningmatches, so if them lads could review their teams it might make things interesting for the last day.

Yeah this is great, even though it doesn't get the chat traffic. OneColdHand absolutely killing it in the overall rankings too.

    Almost playoff time!!!

I may or may not have forgotten about this after about 5 or 6 GWs :o

I'll have an ol look see there so if I can remember my login details :pac:

    Yeah that's right I'm a bloody casual!

Well that was a very enjoyable season!

Looking like I'll finish in 53rd OR. Pretty thrilled with that. Thought I had a chance of top 50 for a while during those games, but David Villa (who I don't have) put paid to that!

Was very enjoyable, far superior to the EPL version. The defending and attacking bonuses available to all players make it much better, more types of players who on the English one you wouldn't touch can be valuable in this e.g. defensive midfielders.

Are the playoffs not counted in this game?

I agree, there are many things that the FPL version could adopt. I basically found this game far more fun than FPL (anf that's what it's about, isn't it?!). I know I had a good run, which helps. But there's a number of very frustrating things about FPL, and they seem to be even more frustrating now that I've played the FMLS.

Just lost the head to head by 2 points as Giovincho returned to wreak havoc and I was beaten 74-72. Good fun!

That may have been me, to make matters worse, I didn't know he had to return from anything, nor did I know that I had him captain.

I finally rose to second last in the head to head with a last gasp final day win,

Average has been a worthy advisory, whoever he is, godspeed.

The 2017 games available now. Unlimited transfers every game week, keepers and defender clean sheets worth more, small er squad etc etc. Looking forward to it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,503 ✭✭✭✭CSF

    I'll be in for certain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,471 ✭✭✭OneColdHand

    Good stuff.

Unlimited transfers is a massive change. No forward planning required. But should be good fun being able to just pick whoever you want each week.

Tried a first draft over the weekend.

    10 home players + Giovinco!

I was thinking that as I typed my post....hopefully Gio doesn't break this year!

Note: for the first week there is an 'Opening Weekend Challenge'. They have prizes etc for it, but essentially it doesn't count towards your overall total. The season proper begins in GW2.

A bit strange I suppose, but I'll now be going all out punt mode for GW1.

    11 home players most likely.

I'll be in for sure. Maybe a new thread for this year's edition may entice a few more people in before tonight's deadline?
