Not cold enough to properly settle anymore here but still coming down heavy. :) Will probably begin clearing shortly.

Ventured out in the car. Rear wheel drive. Bad idea, thought I was going to be stranded at one point on a back road.

A nice covering in Dublin 15. The fastest I ever seen the kids get out of bed on a school morning

I was lying in bed, pondering getting up for work while the wife snored away next to me, and I thought "damn, no snow this year".
Honestly, that thought went through my head, when the whiteness of the light through the curtains made me dare to hope....
    And YES!
    SNOOOOWWW!
Well, it seems to be melting off now at a horrific rate, and drivers were imagining arctic tundra conditions judging by their driving speed, but there it was, lovely lovely snow :)
And that was in Rolestown, near Swords.
Out here in Portrane, the snow also fell but the sea air is causing horrific casualties, with it all dripping away and rain is falling :(

Not one bit of snow seen on my drive this morning at 6am, North Inishowen, Donegal.

No snow at all West Clare. Ye Dubliners don't deserve it!

Ehhh...yes we do. It's our reward for being better looking. :p

Passing showers of very wet snow in Dun Laoghaire now, nothing sticking this close to the sea at the moment.

It feels more like sleet rain that's falling now. Was good while it lasted

Some lying snow in the fields around my house out on the Tipperary side of Limerick city.

Currently snowing in Kilkenny/Carlow. Sky is grey, not the nice brownish tinge you get with proper snow and the flakes are tiny.
Still nice to look at for a change.

(Uh scratch that, now proper size flakes)
