Its what I love about Ireland and Dublin in particular.

We never really get any proper snow...thank God.

Fair enough, some just don't like snow.

I assume you were not here for the winters of 2009 and 2010?

Yeah, it really died a sudden death.

Heavier here now again. So hard to judge off the radar.

    And gone again :)

That shower seems to have slowed down around the Claregalway area for some reason. You might get another swipe of it yet.

Looking at the satellite, there seems to be more showers forming off the west/midwest coast?

Could bring more wintry showers to the likes of Clare/Kerry and Connemara than what seems to be forecast? Hard to tell tbh.

I wish!:D Its an oldie from 09/10. I couldn't resist it as we are hoping against hope for some decent snow at this very late stage of the year.

Ha. I know in the 80s this was always the sweet spot for snow.

I used to pray for late Feb, early March when I was in primary school

I thought his might be another 2010 pic, but then you're fairly high up.

There is still a bit of snow on the bin and grass here. Look what i've been reduced to. It's a far cry from 2010.

Theres a dusting of snow outside

March has had snowfall on 3 of its days so far. Not bad

    2251 update from met eireann

Scattered wintry showers mainly over the western half of the country tonight. A slight to sharp ground frost will develop under clear skies, and there will be some icy patches. Later in the night, outbreaks of rain, sleet and snow will spread south through Ulster and Leinster. Fresh and gusty, westerly winds will decrease light to moderate overnight, later veering northwest to north. Lowest temperatures plus 2 to minus 2 degrees.

The snow that falls early tomorrow morning won't have a problem settling all be it temporarily.
