Not with the Ioniq it isn't, as there's no app support in the EU.

For other cars, potentially something like that could be possible.

It was an Ioniq video I was watching

Planning a long trip over the weekend to collect a christmas present at the other side of the country.
Just under 400km, will be charging twice as it's winter.
Summer could probably have done it in one.

31k km and 7 months later and I still love long trips in this car, so comfortable and no range anxiety!

Really you shouldn't have, I got you nothing :P:P:P:P

I'd have expected at least a pamphlet on why VW will kick Tesla's EV ass!

Had a go of it myself. Changed the intersection thing and ticked TomTom EV, whatever that means :D

It's an improvement on the SatNav alright. Recommended.

    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone got after market leather fitted to their Ioniq?

I see a place in Blanchardstown that does it. Would it take longer for the heated seats to heat up?

Any other advantages / disadvantages anyone is aware of?

    Thanks.

Great, not a bother at all. Charged twice in the end, they were shorter stops as I arrived with >30% both times (Ioniq charging curve increases speed up to 77-78% SOC)

Present was an exotic cat and she seemed to like the heated seat on the way home too! :pac::pac:

This was an option offered by some dealers. Seemingly the leather from the PHEV ioniq fits perfectly with no compromise (except the ventilated seat function which was not offered on the Irish BEV spec anyway)

I wouldn't be bothered personally , but I suppose it's like the wrapped front "grille" .. personal taste.

I got a quote of 350 euro for "leather" seats front and back with two year warranty on the work!

Going to call into the work shop this week and have a look. Picking the car up on Thursday ;)

Not sure if we are supposed to link to businesses, but you can see lots of colours and different textures here...

    http://www.seatcovers.ie/information/colours

I've no connection with them, so shop around etc but seems cool and I'd be very excited to get "leather" in the car as it's a step back for me not to have it.

If it shows 3 private owners I'd probably steer clear to be honest.
For no other reason than it may devalue the car when you go to sell on.

Other than that it's pretty good deal

  • Registered Users Posts: 65,147 ✭✭✭✭unkel

That's very cheap! The 3 owners is strange, but remember you have another 4 years or so of manufacturer's warranty on it, so I wouldn't worry to much about that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,647 ✭✭✭✭punisher5112

Could well have been demo, then sold and latest trade in for something new maybe.

    Wouldn't bother me at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 754 ✭✭✭Zenith74

Not looking to buy right now, am just keeping an eye on what their prices are looking like, so if somebody else is interested by all means have at it!

That seems crazy cheap! Are they just covers or are they reupholstering?

  • Registered Users Posts: 65,147 ✭✭✭✭unkel

Yeah that's probably it for the demo and the second owner. Several Ioniq owners have upgraded to Kona for the range. But why would this third owner be selling privately? I'd ask anyway. Probably a plausible answer, like they didn't get the 280km advertised NEDC range in wet and windy winter weather LOL

For those that state you can't get Ioniqs, the first 191 reg I saw was today in the work car park. A 191 MH Ioniq BEV in what looks like metallic greyish brown.

Hi folks, my Hyundai Ioniq 191 is ready apart from one small tiny detail, it has no CABLE, the garage which is 60km from where I live cannot give me an ETA on the cable!
I was going to collect it on Saturday anyway and use the granny cable in the car and I was wondering would that be ok short term also my journey is 55km each way to work, I might be able to plug it in at work.
I could use the current Fiesta for the longer journey's but that is complicated by the fact that my wife's car is being scrapped.
Not a great start to my EV career. Any advice as always would be appreciated.
