200 BHP in such a small car must be unreal on the back roads.

They are probably the most fun you will have in a FWD car without losing your license. Had one from new for nearly 3 years and loved it.

Really nice example Gav, the Molton orange really stands out too.

Picked this up a couple of days ago and loving it. Previous car had bugger all creature comforts so things like touchscreen, bluetooth and Android Auto are all new to me! :pac:
First time driving an automatic too and it's so relaxing. Don't seem to be able to get a towbar on the Cupra so had to go with roof racks to lug the bikes about. Not used to taking car pics so apologies if they're a bit crap. :o

Nice :) ST Cupras seem to be quite popular, I'd say quarter of all the Cupras I've seen for sale have been ST models.

That's class, enjoy. Nice wheels and colour too

Cheers. The main criteria for the new car was more space in the back for the kids, decent boot and some way to transport bikes. l was originally thinking about the Octavia RS but went with the Leon instead. The ST FR 184 looks lovely too imo.

I sow that Cupra ST on carzone. Was really well priced. Even tempting. Looks great, and nothing beats a Fast estate. :)

It's a project car I've been working on. Now fully ready for the road. I got it valeted in Taffs in Nenagh. He does very good work. Check him out on Facebook.

Is there a radio behind that panel?

Friend used to have a 19 Chamade years ago. It’s only when you start looking that you’ll see how little of an evolution the mk1 Megane was.

Original radio is there but it's missing a button.

The Megane was pretty much a 19 with a fresh body.

I hadn't seen an RSi 19.....Or any 19 for that matter for years so had to have it.

That R19 is lovely, they were a nice car back in the day. For an Irish spec car of the era, that one is loaded!

My Baby... who’s currently recovering after a dodgy mechanic buggered up an engine replacement. Grrrr

Had my car in for a protection detail with Taff before last winter, great work and a gentleman. I might bring it back to him again before the bad weather comes back.

2.0TDI 150bhp ? Did you prefer the Octavia to the Leon ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,430 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

Yeah. Way nicer inside and doesn’t look like it should be fast where the Leon was a bit showey and you felt you had to drive fast.

It’s like a new car condition wise and has enough power for what I need!

In my defense that space was at a dead end in the car park!

Got to test out the front assist just there, some ballbag in an Altezza decided to slam on the brakes approaching a roundabout.
