Bit of a meet last night. That poor Audi looks so out of place.

That M4 is painted in Verde Mantis, an almost 10k option (Lamborghini colour).

Gorgeous colour. I'd love it but then again I paired snapper rocks blue with red leather on my 4 series so I'm likely not the best judge!

For real? Not contradicting - genuine curious.

Theres one for sale up North at the moment (well, an M3 Comp - not an M4). Just says special order colour.

Yes, special order and it is genuine Verde Mantis.

That M3 is Verde Mantis as well. I've to say pics don't do it justice! Looks very good, especially come sunset time.

The M3 above looks like the old Fiat colour from the '70s - Verde Chiaro. It was the launch colour for the X1/9.

I does look nice in some photos, but 99% of the time when I see it my first thoughts are that its a tacky wrap.

Zipped over the shop this evening for some bits. The 2 series GC, Ferrari and M6 were all this evening. The Bentyaga was last week. My neighbour owns the 2GC, they have an Urus also but I haven't snapped it yet.

So here is something I found at a dealer service centre the other day..

Pretty monstrous in the flesh and the photos didn't do the wheels justice, they were very big!..

May I ask why most cars even high end stuff have these god awful registration plate surrounds on them. In the UK they all seem to be the raw plate but sometimes with a little label on the centre bottom, of where the car came from.

My first time seeing one of these - Dublin 8.

    The guy that owns that has similar plates on a lot of his other cars, and when I say other cars I mean his multiple one-off custom order Ferrari's, LaFerrari's, Enzo, F50, FXXK, McLaren F1's, Zondas, Bugattis, etc - basically every significant supercar you can imagine, a collection worth hundreds of millions.     Correction everyone, just in case you're making life changing decisions based on a location given by SmartinMartin;
it's Infirmary road on the border of Dublin 7 and 8, officially Dublin 7.

I'd say you're great craic to go for a pint with.

You'd have to be very exact with the meeting point for said pint :D

In case anyone is wondering, like I was, who this person is:
He would be called David Lee, son of Hing Wa Lee , creator of a vast empire that began in the sector of gemstones

The overall collection is +300USD million.

The collector only invests in exceptional cars with the best return on investment. These are not just beautiful cars. For David Lee, these are assets whose price is constantly increasing, year after year ... This is why he has almost only Hypercars.

From the article linked above. Does he drive them or just mothball all of them because they are investments?

I don't think David Lee owns that car, the guy is based in the Middle East somewhere(UAE I think). David Lee is a Ferrari collector from California.

That article is wrong, David Lee is not the owner of those cars. David Lee is a well-known California based Ferrari collector and they've mixed him up.

The actual owner is Sam Li and is based in London/Hong Kong/UAE. Not a huge amount about him online but there are bits and pieces.
