    Heavies following in this

I drove into a car park in Bray this afternoon and pulled in beside what looked like a saloon version of this 191 merc. The ugliest looking abomination I have ever seen.

One serious car, you`re talking at least €500k before vrt.

Got a giggle from the AA sticker on the window, don`t think the AA have many s650 maybach Pullmans on the books :D

In fairness to him he's not a reg snob(and if anyone could afford to be he could), his last maybach was over 20 years old.

Yeah thats true, his old one was a 2003 (which is ancient as luxury cars go), the same year he bought that he bought a painting by Amedeo Modigliani for $26 million which he sold last year for $157 million at RM Sothebys NY auction.

So his new maybach is only really pocket change

But he is really!! I'm shocked the Maybach isn't on the 191-T-777 plate. someone dropped the ball... It's a UK import too

His last Maybach was in 2004, and that's not 20 years

Both him and Pino Harris were great buyers of expensive stuff like that Maybach. Harris had a succession of S600s and 760s etc, rumour had it too that he had a new Phantom on order before he died.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,937 ✭✭✭SmartinMartin

    Well that's me corrected :D

His silver 2004 760li was for sale a few years back for like €6-7k, the chap who was selling it was really peddling the fact that it had been owned by him and was a 1 owner car.

Pino Harris was an absolute motoring pioneer in Ireland in many respects. Its a pity he never wrote a book, someone really should. Not sure it that would do much for the value of his 760 (which was curiously very poorly spec'd) though!

Probably not a specific pic but should be in the background of a few. There was a crowd around it most of the time. I remember it sounded lovely heading off.

In one of those weird coincidences, 141T777 passed me on the way home last night - heading from Drogheda towards Julianstown.

I was never really a fan of French styling but the new gen Pugs are looking good. Even the Renaults are half daycent looking. Citroen, not so much.
