Saw my first Porsche 992 (latest generation 911) on the road today in Killiney - a a white cabrio model with a dark red roof, nice combo. Plate was 191-D-7000 I think - does it still cost €1,000 to reserve a plate number?

  • Registered Users Posts: 295 ✭✭Bus Boy

I think it's more like €1300. I remember reserving a number for my old 911 back in 2004 and it was only about €280. :-(

oh Bazz...c'mon man, you should know that the Bluesmobile was a '74 Dodge. In fact it was the 440 Magnum. It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant. It's got cop tyres, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's the model made before catalytic converters, so it'll run good on regular gas...
(you can pick them up at the Mount Prospect Police auctions)

Didn't have the eyes or teeth, but rusty brown with all the stuff in the load area. 55D reg plate - made me smile :D

I was driving so couldn't get a picture.
It was a Skoda Yeti of all things, the acceleration out of it was unbelievable
Looked standard enough except maybe for the twin exhaust on the left-hand side.

Thanks. I was using my daughter's camera for the first time and just put it on point and shoot. Had no time to get familiar with it.

I've a few more from that day and will put them here and on the classics thread tomorrow or Monday.

Ha Ha, No. Great spot but his jeans were furthest from my mind. Look left
