I got to hug my Granny, nephews and niece when I woke up this morning. I haven't been able to do that for a long, long time.

Right now, I couldn't be happier.

I took the dog to the beach a few days ago. When I'm driving the dog sometimes like to sit on the middle seat and lean forwards and she usually rests her head on my shoulder. I like to think she's being affectionate but she's probably doing it for stability. :pac:

I don't live near the beach but the dog loves the beach and it makes me happy seeing her so happy on the beach. She goes a bit mental running into the water after seagulls. We met three really beautiful dogs the other day. The first one had run ahead of his owner so patch got to play with him a good bit. He was just as mental and they were both prancing around.

Three nights after Christmas and all through the forum
Poor posters were whining and suffering from boredom
Hungover, gassy and fed up of relatives
No decent booze left and all out of sedatives

They log on to Boards to seek something amusing
But find there some trolls who are crassly abusing
A poor newbie poster who just found their way
Into After Hours, oh how they have gone astray

Now Boom_Bap, now Kersplat!, now Nicolas and ken
Now G_R, now ScienceNerd, now Tombi! and Peregrine
    And let's not forget, whoopsadaisydoodles*
Please make sure all posters are using their noodles

There's plenty of things we are loving and hating
Poor JosephRyan struggling with internet dating
Trivial things make us happy, but annoy us too
And sooner or later we start flinging the poo**

The Muslims and Nazis and water protesters
The vegans and dole frauds and grammar molesters
All topics that are sure to end up in shouting
    Godwinning, slandering, insults and pouting

Till in rush the mods, with red cards and yellow
And urgings of "Lads, will ye settle, be mellow
And if you don't listen, do as we command,
You'll wind up like Santa, in prison, or banned"

Slowly things calm down and tensions abate
The trolls disappear, off to mastur...(yeah, you know where this is going)
Peace once again reigns in the Kingdom of Boards
And we go to bed happy, us internet hoards

*Not forgetting ancapailldorcha whose name wouldn't fit into the rhyme!
**Possibly the poo which was left by a guest at a wedding reception

Sorry! They were on the list of mods at the bottom of the page. I feel doubly bad now that I realise I could have rhymed Peregrine with Ken :o

The real person you need to blame is whoopsadaisy-forty-seven-syllables. By the time I worked that in I was too exhausted to care about the rest of ye :D

Sorted  Sorry, ACD. Your name just doesn't rhyme!

The list gets mixed up with the the Social & Fun mods on some days. Sometimes it works fine.

I'll pass that message on :D

A good person has given a lovely formerly feral kitty a new life after ensuring her injuries were treated. :)

I put a bookshelf together with the OH today. It may not seem like a big deal but I'm terrible at anything DIY related so I feel a bit proud of myself now :)

I had a nice chat with my sorta boss today where she said all sorts of nice stuff about my work, great to hear as a freelance writer who worries her work is not up to standard from time to time.

Add in that am going to spend the weekend with my bestie in London and I am on top of the world despite going to have to get up at 2am to get ready for bus to airport and for early morning flight.

    Eeek! Can't wait!
