    How did they allow them passed the preliminaries? A family near me who participate in marathons regularly and are super fit didn't get passed the initial stages.

    What facts are you referring to here? The fact that they beat another family (a white Irish family, funnily enough) last week to qualify for the quarter-final.

    Claiming that they were picked because of their skin colour is a racist claim - by definition - particularly in the light of last week's result where they beat a white Irish team.

    No it’s not.
    I said that in my opinion RTÉ picked them for diversity reasons.
    Nothing racist about that at all.
    That poor woman was embarrassed on tv tonight. She wasn’t fit at all or else she was sick or injured.
