The father who couldn’t walk a plank.

Some basic stuff that you know you’ll have to do but like he didn’t train on them.

    Some poor family’s

Yeah there doesnt seem to be any real stand out families this year. Between that and the Mandiangu mess it seems the standard has slipped, maybe they're having trouble recruiting families or something?

They should do a spin off show called Ireland’s Fattest Family

That 14 year old Dinan was so impressive getting up the ramp on his own. Hope they win now !

That was a Hogan, the Dinan's avoided the eliminator.

OK, the cynic in me is now wondering how much all those companies paid for being "product placement" in this series

I also wish they'd give up on making all the coaches slag each other off, it's getting tiresome.

I'll be rooting unambiguously for the McSharrys this evening!

Darragh Moloney really shines as a commentator on Ireland's Fittest Family.

Those Londis promo things are painfully unfunny, they're incredibly bad

Am hoping the Mahers get through from this eliminator .

    Anna Geary is absolutely insufferable

The McSharrys are very strong overall, delighted the Mahers are through!

Lol Daddy Maher dragging his daughter up the ramp by her hair ! What a tight finish, it was a great race

Well done to both families , tough eliminator , that poor Maher girls pony tail , her head must hurt !

That poor girl getting hauled up the ramp by her hair is a brave soul.
    Very good competition tonight. Enjoyable.

Really poor form the two girls challenging Mona Mc Sharry's tyre placement.

The Mc Sharry's ran away with that challenge.

I'd like to think they were made do that for "de drama"....... they surely can't actually have been serious - even the other team admitted they completely thrashed them!

Mona McSharry is a serious athlete to be fair - she won a bronze medal at the European Championships during the week.

Imagine entering that and ending up with Anna as your "coach"

  • Registered Users Posts: 653 ✭✭✭skittles8710

Don't know how it took me this long for it to dawn on me , but the coaches are extremely Cork (and Munster) heavy!

In fairness, it's more of a voiceover job than a commentary. He's not doing it live - it will be well prepared and scripted in the edit suite afterwards.

Good episode tonight, with a knife-edge finish, showing how well matched the teams are at this level.

Oh I felt it! He went to grab her shirt and caught her ponytail and carried on anyway!

He's my new hero, going mad after they won...

I could imagine ending up with Anna on my couch alright.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,815 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Sitting at home disabled with a load of stitches in my hand, and having drunk far too much at various seasonal nights recently, I feel a bit of a fraud settling in to watch the final of Ireland Fittest Family!

But I'm looking forward to it - c'mon the McSharrys!!

Hope they don't do that daft abseiling malarkey again though.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,582 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

^^^well I jogged from the biscuit jar via the coffee machine to the couch in 7seconds so I'm fierce fit altogether!

    Hope it's a good final.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,815 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I'm calling shenanigans - Davy glued to the stopwatch as the second family finished and roaring at them tells me he knew exactly what time they were up against!

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,286 ✭✭✭seligehgit

Hopefully changing weather elements won't effect the fairness of any individual family challenges.

Yikes I would'nt be fond of those sort of heights.:D
