Oh God, every time I see that sand dune, I get the shivers just thinking about it!

    Mona McSharry is the MVP

I wonder how long of a respite between this round and the final?

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,815 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I'm just waiting for someone to actually have a heart attack "live" on this

I wonder have the McSharrys done any sailing - that's a very nautical technique they used!

    Must have been injured?

    Might'nt of had any choice.

When the Hogan's lost one of their strongest team members it appears other families may not have been given any option as to whom was dropped.

He was 14, and about 6 stone! He'd have easily been the weakest in that particular event, I'm guessing.

Plus, I think it's absolutely the family's choice who they drop (there was controversy over the choice in a previous series)

Surely having an Olympic chasing athlete is a bit of an unfair advantage no? Particularly in an event that required upper-body strength and stamina

    Not in this one, though!

The Hogans have a serious advantage, at the start anyway

This will be all about the wall and the ramp, seeing as each team is down to 3

That cargo net looks to be a killer .

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,582 ✭✭✭✭The Princess Bride

Well deserved, they were consistent throughout.

Well done to the Mc Sharrys !

So close , the Hogans should be proud of themselves though , great family unit .

    They do deserve it.

    Very strong Mona throughout.

I think Jay was a loss for the Hogans.

I'm sure they'll be back next year!

Definite advantage having an elite swimmer in the ranks.

Not annoyed because I indirectly know the Hogans. I swear.

But that just means she's extra-fit - which is what Ireland's Fittest Family is all about, surely?

Either that or they are in a church bell ringing club. :)

    The Hogan family were great.

Are they actually allowed try again sometime is the future.?

    :D:D

There was at least one family in the earlier series who appeared twice, if not three times (the cage fighters, can't remember their names) so absolutely the Hogans can have another go, presume they'd have to qualify again though.

    Fair play, well deserved.

Mam of 4, we need to enter for Laois next year!

Only seeing this now TPB , I'm not fit , but if we start training now ..:D

Just watched it now, and yay for the McSharrys and yay for Sligo!

Lots or talking points. We rewound it and the Maher girl did indeed get an accidental elbow in the face at the start of the ramp race.

And things could have been very different if the Maher girl hadn't fallen off the balance beam. The McSharrys would have been in the eliminator and the ramp race wouldn't have suited them.

A very enjoyable series yet again, but please please please producers, nobody cares about the mentor rivalry.
