FFS, could they not remove misery from the LLS and RDS and instead have a pure misery show on for an hour on a Sunday night instead.

Woah. Just tuned in. Where did Davey get this hottie ?

I don't think they are together, she said she is going out with someone from Dublin.

I cringe as a Clare person when I see Davy on the telly, his behaviour can be very embarrassing at times.

It'll take a couple of Cork people on the Clare panel to put manners on him ;)

Right Ray, just let these two wonderful people speak for themselves. You can't mess this up.

How many weeks does this show run for?
This is about the 5th week, so that's about five too many

**** this misery. I'm outta here.

This is one for his Late Late Show Presenter "I can do sad stories" Showreel Audition tape.

A children's hospice segment. Ah God, on paper you can't get more misery than that. This shouldn't be on.

Can't watch this, way too painful a subject.

....and get Aine Lawlor to present it. Could call it the Repeat of the Week in Politics or something like that.

God, this is too much for a Saturday night.

Ray really enjoys the misery slots, it reminds me of David McSavages sketches of Joe Duffys whineline

Just turned over for some misery porn.

RTE should just do a health program for all these stories, rather than having them on a Friday or Saturday night when people want entertainment, not depressing stories.

first impressions....It's a lot of small things with Ray...

    "Tell us that story again"

"We've spoken about this so many times before"

..he shouldn't be letting on that this is the xth time he's interviewed Davy Fitz or this couple, makes it sound a bit routine or even slightly jaded.

    He also interrupts a lot.

Im sorry for their loss but the RTE researchers would want a serious kicking having this as 'Saturday night entertainment'.

I'm off, can't be wasting my time with this...

He should spend a bit more time talking about the foundation (they are very good) rather than getting every last detail of the evening they passed away.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,795 ✭✭✭Red Kev

"Tell us about how you buried your child".

FFS. This is dire. No offence to the family.

    I'm off to MOTD.

Why tf did they take BOC off the Saturday night slot to give it to this misery lovin' bollix?

This story would be a lot more suited to Gay Byrne's "The Meaning of Life". Gaybo would handle it a lot better than Greybo.

The meaning of life is a very different show.

This would be more suitable for a documentary. It might be suitable for the Late Late show.

Home video was a bit much...the parents don't even seem impressed with that

Not even bothering to watch Ray Halloweenie tonight, but I can safely say...

This show needs more Miriam Margolyes! :pac:

Wouldn't see this on British TV on Graham Norton, Chatty man or Jonathon Ross.

It's just so bizzare, this 'life' thing that's going on around us...

This painfully sad story of two beautiful kids and the wonder of how on earth parents cope?

That lad in the smoking ads that knew his time was up.

The 220 plus souls that got on a flight and met the most horrendous death.

I'm flying to the US on Monday, and while the odds are very unlikely that I'll become such a statistic... I just wonder on nights like tonight just WHY this goes on all around us.

I'm just back from my brothers house where his two beautiful kids (5 and 2) bring me so much joy. I've to put my two 'fur' kids into kennels for the first time tomorrow (for 14 days) and I worry if they'll be 'ok' without us...

How on earth do people who deal with such 'unfair' and 'untimely' death cope?

And sometimes I wonder, what's the point of it all. Working hard, being decent people, and then, BAM... Life turned inside out!

    Life is short. And fragile.

In terms of entertainment, it is a horror show.

The Late Late Show should let Darcy have guests like this if he wants them. The last few weeks (of the LLS) have been relatively upbeat and far more watchable than normal.

Tubridy maybe got sense and realised people don't want this at the weekend.

Even Les Battersby finds this too depressing.
