My understanding is that the Tir Chonaill V Clonmel Commercials game will be televised live, see details on Clonmel Thread.

I only saw from the 59th minute...what an awful free. Was the ref booed off?

Laois people like boohing :-) Although god knows why they were booing the ref as he gave them some handy ones.

Ballyboden are certainly demonstrating an ability to win tough games, and if Kerin keeps up his goal scoring they will be difficult to beat. I think they will beat either Clonmel or Tir Chonaill Gaels but fancy Castlebar to win it out.

Impressive enough win for Clonmel in difficult conditions and against a team that parked the bus wven when they had the wind!

If they can post anything close to the same score against 'Boden they will be in with a shout but Boden defence is very good and don't give away too many goals.

A well known bookmaker is offering the following odds.

    Ballyboden / St.Endas..... 1/2......... Clonmel Commercials.........2/1

Is this a case of the bookmaker knowing that a lot more money will be put on the city team and wanting to avoid a big pay out? Maybe the book making firm thinks Clonmel will win and hence a big pay day for the company.

Bookies set prices based on what they take in. Their prices will nearly always ensure that they make a small margin no matter what the result. I expect Ballyboden will attract money at 1/2 and will be shorter than that come the semi final.

Great SF between Bally Boden and Clonmell on right now.
9 a piece at full time, extra time just starting.

Bally Boden scored two in the during minutes to force ET.

Castlebar v Crosmaglenn up next at 6.15

    TG4 by the way

Good game, very tight & competitive. Quinlivan off with a black card now fir Clonmel, no TV replay of the incident. St endas a point up now.

Will the start of the second game be delayed for TV coverage reasons due to extra time here?

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,569 ✭✭✭✭ProudDUB

Yeah, Crossmalgen tweeted that throw in was being delayed by 15 minutes.

  • Registered Users Posts: 15,061 ✭✭✭✭Fr Tod Umptious

    Opening 5 main in Cavan.
Cross are 3 to 0 up.

Castlebar are lucky to be 0

That could be important. Could have been 1-8 to 0-4 for Cross at HT instead of 0-8 to 0-5.

8 points to 5 to Crossmaglen at HT.

    Both teams missed goal chances.

Crossmaglen have scored some fantastic scores.

Castlebar relying on their wingback, Durkan, to kick 2 screamers.

Castlebar hit the post and wasted a 45 badly.

Great game being played at a frenetic pace.

Mitchels with 3 points in 3 mins for a level game

    0-8 to 0-8

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,365 ✭✭✭theoneeyedman

Level with 3 to go. Eddie Kinsella reaming Cross

    Filthy finish.

Well that would be the nordies for you.

Castlebar man was shouldered over the line and the Cross boys in after him arms and fists flying to try and get the ball back, flaking away at anyone in their way.

What was noticeable was that not a single official (ref, linesman, 4th official) tried to intervene and get the game restarted quickly.

Hahaha that's a comical post. For the last ten minutes castlebar did nothing but pull, drag, delay and out cynic the cynical. The last kerfuffle was caused by them repeatedly throwing the ball back into their own dug out, which caused the ructions.

    Filthy Nordies indeed!

And went down with cramp too I will add.

But Cross would have got that sideline ball back a lot quicker had they not all piled in

If Cross had kept playing they would have won.
8-2 up and they stopped and went defensive
