if someone can tell me how to stand a bike with full mudguards upright with one wheel off, at the side of the road, please share it.

horrible late late anti cycling piece last night, the low point being called animals by a social media influencer, and then throwing a helmet in a bin.

Like others i made formal complaint to rte regarding the piece

    What part of the country?

There aren't too many sportives so early in the year but there are several Audax events in Jan/Feb/March such as King's Mountain 200, Orwell 200, Tara 200.

Dublin/leinster/ulster, primarily. I saw stickybottle had one for 2017 that was pretty exhaustive, saw nothing similar this year though

Just getting myself ready for a spin and while sitting here waiting on my buddy I can see that my bike is the dirtiest it's ever been. Not sure I can cope

Washed mine yesterday. Club spin today. Looks like it never saw water. Don’t bother. Just keep the group set grit free

Anyone going through Maynooth today there's a thin layer of grey slime on the Tesco roundabout & the street that leads to the old NUI building.

Looks like Eir Sports will have coverage of the Tour Down under this year. 2am live and repeated later in the day.

Also on Freesports on satellite according to the site but haven't heard of that channel myself.

Changed the BB after it had developed a nasty grinding noise. All was fine until a few days later and now theres a slight squeaking noise when pedalling. :o

you're clearly putting too much power through the pedals.

Would love a cycle tonight but have college after work, it'll be just too miserable to enjoy after 10pm and I'm on the go since 6am. Sake, newly single and still no time to get out :pac:

I am usually not allowed out with the club from early nov till sometime after feb due to my principled stance on the issue.
So i cant really answer that question :)

I've just discovered the Snap-On man calls to the garage behind my office. My exact words when I spotted him 'bye paycheque'

Still have father's 1/2" drive ratchet; according to serial number it's from 1948. Still perfect and serviceable.

Brother works for a contractor to American Navy, tool boxes full of tools often get dumped when some piece of paper says they are due replacement; some end up in Davy Jones's Locker and some get disposed of by Sicilian waste management companies. The tool boxes empty can be worth upwards of 10k.

Jeepers. The one from 1948 should be on a plinth. I have a 3/8 drive I bought a while back and it was just over €200 for that alone, it's such a nice tool to hold (behave yourselves) and with a lifetime warranty too, a proper no messing lifetime warranty unlike halfords who wanted a receipt for the 1/4inch drive I had with 'Halfords Professional' emblazoned on the side.

It's hard to justify the price of Snap-On but there's a reason it's the only brand you will see in professional workshops

Just back from a trip to Athens, Greece; where cyclists wore full winter gear to go out... in 20 C sunny day. Damn they are spoiled for weather. But they are playing their life every time they are out, drivers are mental
