More rain pushing into the west on the radar. Another wet day in store today.

Yep - it's another thoroughly miserable day in Galway city
I recorded 42.0mm yesterday and a further 12.2mm since midnight.

Finally stopped raining in north meath, hallelujah

Newport, Co. Mayo had its second extremely wet day this season yesterday with 66.2mm. It previously recorded 79.4mm on September 11th. Jesus, there are some very heavy falls this season!

That's a lot of water. Groundwater levels/rivers etc must be fairly high out that way?

Winds are turning pretty savage here once again with some real house shaking gusts. Wasn't expecting winds to be this strong today tbh.

Temp reached 16.2C here in nice sunshine - no rain, albeit it is bit windy; last night min didn't drop below 14.8C :)

Another utterly abysmal day in Galway City again today. Very gusty wind and no let up from the rain.

Waterlogged soil and localised floods everywhere here near Dunboyne. Thankfully it has been dry all day but I see rain is on it's way again this evening.
Does anyone know how much more rain we can expect here near North West Dublin for the week ahead? Or is the worst of it behind us.... For now?

Trogdors Bray station showed a low of 16.6ºc at 3 minutes past midnight, a high of 19.2ºc at 1:08pm today and a current temp of 17ºc at 4.20pm. Blessed be The Fohn... :D

Good deal of uncertainty about this still but Tuesday is looking quite stormy over the southwest on the 12Z ARPEGE. Inland gales/strong gales. Inland gusts 120-130 km/h.

Dry cloudy and very windy here today and after last night i'm delighted :)

Mean speed winds of (36kts) 67km/h at Cork airport being recorded now, in the criteria for a Met Eireann orange warning. Are these strong winds unexpected?

Windy enough in the south east too.
    Some big gusts.

12Z ICON also showing 130 km/h gusts hitting the southwest on Tuesday.

Is it anyways comparable with Darwin? I can't remember Darwin's charts and forecasts.

18Z GFS has sustained winds of 80 km/h on Tuesday well inland in the south.

18Z HIRLAM doesn't agree, keeps the low weaker and further south with the winds offshore.

Just had the letter box flap here in Arklow. That's my unscientific evidence that it's very windy out.
