Thinking of going with Rooney again. United tend to score goals against Villa.

    Tough choice this week.

    A bit early to say.
It's on Tekkers at the moment but I'll see how he gets on today.

Thinking of Rooney to as Villa usually capitulate to Man U. However if Aguero gets 60 minutes tomorrow I might be tempted. Chelsea aren't right at the moment.

Ask me next weekend! Very early for this.

On Benteke at the moment but will see. Rooney also a candidate.

    Benteke (c), Mane (vc).

Sticking with the plan and going Kane!!

Benteke for me, but it all depends how Liverpool play today.

This is why I have Kane, although I'm not filled with confidence after yesterday. Sakho vc, not filled with confidence either. Rooney the other option - not filled with confidence either either.

I think you need to work on your confidence.

Probably going with Rooney once again myself

My realistic options are Rooney, Benteke, Mané, Sakho. Leaning toward Rooney at the moment.

Pelle or Rooney for me at the moment . As an Everton fan we are weaker at the back than Gary Glitter. Simply can't keep clean sheets

    Classy !

    Rooney for me

    Coutinho for me next week.

    Rooney for me I think

    No Mane option? ;)
Really tempted to captain him after seeing him today.

No chance for me. Gotta be sensible/boring with the captain choices at this early stage imo although I do own him

    Probably benteke.

Had it on Rooney for GW1 and I think I'm going to leave it with him. United though created very little up front against Spurs. The service to Rooney wasn't great and that is a worry.

Not even considered him for captain owning Kane, Roo & Sahko but he probably should be on the list though!

Rooney atm but I'm not sure I could handle the 3 day wait to see if he was the right choice.

Was thinking Kane also but Stoke looked solid enough at the back today, and Spurs were very poor vs United on sat.

    Benteke

Two things persuading me NOT to captain Rooney, one logical and one psychological.

Logical - he hasn't scored away to Villa since 2007

Psychological - after the disaster of GW1 I don't want GW2 to be ruined before Saturday with a captain fail!!

Nobodys considering Mahrez after his 15 point display in GW1, add to that the fact that he has west ham next week?

Didn't you watch West Ham yesterday? Given we are going on GW1 form they're not a plum opposition fixture.

    Sticking with Kane

Likely be Benteke as I don't have Kane.

Choosing Rooney for a friday night game doesn't sit well with me, a long 3 days if fails to rack up a score.

Honestly can't decide between Benteke, Rooney and Kane. Have Benteke at the moment, but am likely to change it before the weekend.

If aguero comes through a decent number of minutes tonight i may just put armband on him and leave it there for the forseeable.

In all the captain disaster analysis last year i think in most cases those of us who checked it found we'd have been as well off, if not significantly better off, leaving the armband on one heavy hitter rather than chopping and changing.
