I've finally ordered parts for my MX5, it's only taken me two years but it's now officially on the road to recovery. :pac:
Also, I turn 25 next month, hello classic insurance.

That's a great little car, and hopefully there won't be much needed to get her road worthy.

    Cheers. :D
Well, there is but I'm confident I'll see it road worthy quickly enough now that I'm getting paid and I can confidently work on it myself.
There's a list as long as my arm to fix, I'll just focus on getting it running and NCT'able for now. Haha

In the south of France. Amazing roads. Plenty of twisty stuff. Driving a turbo petrol. Pity it's a bloody meriva... :( absolutely hateful car, terrible in almost every way. Anyone who buys one should be slapped.

When you finally solve a cnutin electrical problem in the car that you've been tackling for a month without the aid of a mechanic or anyone else for that matter. Stubborn much?

Have to say the run out special editions for the defender are cool. I'd love the Heritage one. Series homage :)

I'd love to do some messing around in an off-roady manner with one of those. I'd say they're a good laugh.

But who actually buys them? I think I've seen one or two around the place (they're scarce) but other than that I think the only ones I've ever seen around are belong to ESB?

Also completely unrelated, I sold my C5's original wheels today.

Put them on DoneDeal for €300, hoping to get €250 (which I did). I made an offer of €500 on the wheels that I have on the car at the moment (the 18" off the Peugeot 508).

So effectievly: I bought 18" Peugeot 508 wheels to replace Citroen C5 16" wheels.

The chap I sold my wheels to today, was doing the exact opposite. Had I known, I could have done a straight swap for his 18" 508 wheels. Pain in the hole! :(

At this engine swap all day. Ready to go in after 2 more pipes are swapped over :)

So much had to be transferred over and the pump had to be rebuilt (now with lovely 10mm head) so a lot of work in one day!

Lets see when I get the damned thing running :D

Tis true but they added a few more T&Cs lately for it. They cancelled my test and couldn't book me a slot within 28 days. So I asked does this mean I get a free test? A few minutes later, her supervisor found a slot for me the next week

Why is it so difficult to get a 1 litre bottle of rn0720 5w30 oil for top ups as I'll need one soon. RN0720 spec oil is very difficult to get in general most places don't stock it fullstop. I suppose I may try a Renault dealer although chances are they will only have 5 litre drums which I don't want and if they do have one litre drums they will probably be looking for stupid money for it.

I kind of got a shock this morning when I checked the oil level on the computer and it down 2 bars out of total 6 bars. I mean I checked it 2 weeks ago and it was reading full. I tried dipping it for oil but the stupid dipstick is just constantly completely covered in oil no matter what you do it's basically useless. I may sort something soon as I don't want to get caught out with low oil and no oil to put in it.

Focus is usually the same, dipstick always covered in oil, even when cold. Hard to tell what the real oil level is.

It makes the dip stick fairly pointless then rather annoying.
