Bill and Hillary are beyond all reproach in Ryan's opinion it seems.

There's one for everybody in the audience.

Previously he did say, more than once if I remember correctly, he would take the vaccine live on LLS, the way he had a Covid test when they weren't available to people in healthcare. It's definitely not right for a presenter to be seen to be ahead of the hoi polloi in receiving healthcare, but it is fine to show healthcare workers in this position. Should never have suggested himself to stand in as an example, except of course to be able to say he was putting his money where his mother is. But that can't be in this emergency public health scenario.

Anybody who is ‘influenced’ by the scones who operate on that platform would be surely deemed to be challenged.

He was dyin to get vaccinated on the LLS because it would help him achieve his aim of being seen as one of Ireland's "covidian" heroes.

Not sure if the idea was seriously considered within RTE or if it was just another one of his silly notions, but people were rightfully unimpressed by his self-serving offer.

I imagine the implications and potential public reaction was gauged by someone with more self-awareness than him within RTE and/or the health service.

Funnily enough, I am in Dublin today for essential medical reasons (I’m sitting outside Blackrock Hospital now). First time I have been in Dublin in months.
