    10. Johnny McPhillips (QUB/Ulster)

Can't say I was too impressed with him against the Welsh - hopefully he has a better game Friday

Are France any Good? From what I saw last week wales were tough and had a bit more than our lads, regardless of whether the yellow card should have stood or not. I see Scotland gave England a beating in this competition. A badly needed renaissance of Scottish rugby perhaps?

The winger who dropped a couple of clangers moved to fullback? Poor lad had a pretty off-day. Assume he is better than what he showed.

Lack of set piece could be pretty costly vs french

Left a lot of be desired defensively. Maybe it was just an off day, we all have them.

They must not have a great deal of faith in the Falcons lad Connon, I thought that he would get in. Italian game I would presume or indeed the England game which is being played on his club pitch.

Let's hope Mc Phillips can stand up to the French physique this evening because he certainly didn't look up to much last week.

From the wide view, the Irish lads look noticeably smaller than their counterparts.

Great kick from McPhillips after the French boos.

McPhillips looks very good ball in hand I gotta say

edit: and he kicks it away for no reason..

    McPhillips really has tunnel vision.

Yeah I agree with you on the confusion. We could have been potentially up 10 points to nil if we hadn't kicked it away.

Big difference in the scoreboard now; Ireland 3 France 3 with the French there nearly back to score a try with their good break after scoring the penalty. :(

Ireland just needs to keep away from making sloppy decisions and the ball in hand more often so as to not giving away potential points.

Quality defense to keep that off the ground. Butchered it though.

This James Ryan seems the real deal gotta say

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,390 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

That was eventually unlucky for Ireland though with the French getting a penalty try.

Oh....Ireland now just scored a try by James Ryan. Classy work there. :D

Some poor enough defence here. Gaps left all over the shop

That's it. We apparently have to start fights now to try win the game. Good lads on the commentary team.
