I live very near the course, rain has stopped for the moment. According to this we've had about 4.5mm of rain overnight, not a huge amount

PP shops also have a money back/free bet special for Galway. I'm fairly sure it's for the 5.10 today.

Powers are paying 1/4 odds 1-2-3-4 places in the 6:50pm Galway (even though there are only 15 runners). They are 11/2 about Clondaw Warrior (the best price around). I really can't see how this one will be out of the first 4. I accept that he might find one or two too good but I can't see him being 5th or worse, the form is just too good, also he won over this kind of trip at Galway last year. I think it's a seriously good bet on these terms.

    Mr. Michael

9/1 best price, I was just coming on to post some word about it and nice to see the 2 lads have already mentioned it.

On The Corsican myself, think this fellow is underestimated and is a proper Gp1 horse.

    I'd say you're raging

    2 at goodwood for me

Muthmir, back to 5f, very likely to be a strong pace, these big field sprints always have bad luck for some runners, but im still holding out that he's a GR1 in him, 9/2 e/w

Fadhayyil, paul hanagan double..... anyway she ran cracker in the Jersey at ascot if she re-produces she'll be close 5/2

At Galway Golden Spear has been jumping out at me, well drawn should handle the ground, if fog of war wins it ill be raging

Crowley can have no excuses there - he had racing room on the rail for an absolute age but did not take it.

You beat me to it Francie, just watched the race again and im here scratching my head wondering why he didn't take that racing line.

He didnt half barge kirbys mount in that straight there, hope he gets a ban

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Wasn't on it but that was an awful ride, the C4 lads are saying he didn't want to go so soon but he could have moved up alongside the inner and waited to push the button, he was travelling that well. He was asking for trouble waiting in behind.

I'd give her the most disappointing six seconds of her life

Also backed Lady Clair at Thirsk at 11/10. She didn't beat much on her debut but the way travelled and quickened was very impressive, she's still entered in the Lowther and is well thought of. I think she'll hack up off an opening mark of 77.

Did it nicely in the end, step up to 6f will be the making of this filly.

I thought that bump at the start of the race and the way she got a bit outpaced was going to cost her. Looked quite good as she came into the race then finishing off well.
