I didn't agree with that guys statement or make reference to it though. I'm talking straight Toney-Couture. The guy who made that remark has clearly flawed knowledge when it comes to combat sport.

Age is an excuse when you try and take up a sport at 42. Toney could barely box for 12 rounds then, let alone learn a completely new skill set.
Fair enough, and you do have good points - I just had no way of knowing you didn't agree with the initial statement of any decent amateur boxer being able to wipe the floor with any UFC fighter out there, which we can both agree is a laughable statement.

To each their own regarding the two sports, I just think the diversity in the MMA makes it a better spectator sport but that's obviously entirely subjective.

After/when McGregor beats Aldo McGregor will decide where his next fight is.

The guy who played him (Jon Favreau) is richer than the character he played by now - executive producer on all the Iron Man and Avengers films, and director of Iron Man 1 & 2. Good on him, always seemed quite likable.

I'm not so sure. He'd obviously pick Ireland but Dana was saying this morning it'd be very very tough to make that feasible seeing as Vegas is the fight capital. McGregor is lucky Dana has great respect and love for him though.

McGregor now has the negotiation power to make things happen. He's worth millions to the UFC and they'll want to keep him happy.

UFC will first and foremost want to make as much money as possible I am afraid. Lorenzo and Dana are shrewd business men. They won't take an L just to keep one of their fighters happy. They'll run with the most beneficial one to the company. McGregor is arguably the top male name in the organisation with Silva and Jones on hiatus, so obviously he has some power there....but the UFC will want to exploit him for as much money as they can get out of him while he's at this popularity level. If that means Vegas will be the place to do that most efficiently, it will. Conor is by no means a Floyd Mayweather type of guy who can dictate everything from venue to split to judges to glove type.

Howya lads, excuse my ignorance but I had a few quid on McGregor TKO/KO, I heard it wasn't a TKO, but a default stoppage. Can anyone confirm this? thanks

That was the UFC he was fighting in. That was during a transitional period when the UFC starting introducing rules after John McCain tried to ban it.

A ref stoppage in UFC means it's a TKO...similar to a Boxing ref waving off the fight. Last night would be a TKO win for Conor.

Dana White said if McGregor beats Aldo his first title defence can be in Croke Park.
