A month or two back they had €40 discount vouchers, where many (myself included) got it for €305.

    It's worth even 4/5 hundred

One the oneplus forum, just start a thread, and ask. It was just a promotion AFAIK. I'm not sure if there still going. It's worth a look though.

I have a one plus 2 ordered. Myself and my partner will use it.

If the phone has one of our finger prints can my partner gain access via a passcode.

Can two sets of finger prints be stored for access to phone?

    Thanks.

    You can set multiple fingerprints

    Thanks Hollister.

One more question: If a fingerprint does not work can a pass code be used instead?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,889 ✭✭✭donspeekinglesh

Yes, if it doesn't recognise the fingerprint you can use pattern/passcode.

I think the limit is 5 prints.

    Yes.

If it doesn't read the fingerprints after 3/4 scans, your forced to enter the code, to enter the phone.

    You'll love the phone.

Thanks again. Really looking forward to it after a Galaxy Ace!

You'll love it it's a great phone. I moved from an iPhone5 to the op2 and I'm glad I need.

I thought I wouldn't like the switch, but I couldn't justify spending 700+ on the iPhone 6 so I got this little beauty. It took me a few days, but I'm in love with it.

My partner baulked when I told her I had just spent €350 on a phone. I have used Macs for years but I also could not justify their phone prices.

You can also enter the pin without trying to use the fingerprint.

Thanks… I did not know that. I am a bit paranoid about the fingerprinting. Some people are posting problems with it on the One Plus website.

If you get the Marshmallow update it works perfectly. But yeah, you can still over ride it or not even have it at all like my wife does. You've a choice of fingerprint, pin, pattern or no lock at all.

BTW does anyone know if the marshmallow update has been pushed out OTA yet or is it still Beta?

I did the update and it works fine. But you'd probably enter the pin just as quick. Only downside to the phone is it freezes probably once a week. I just power off and back up and running within 30 seconds. Can't fault it besides that

Fingerprint reading is very quick for me. No phone freezing to report either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,176 ✭✭✭scout353

Have the freezing issue with the Beta. Hopefully it will be cured in the official release.

Also have no improvement in battery despite some claims on the OP website

Does anyone's contacts appear in order of their surname?

I have it set in order by first name but it shows them in order of surname.

Mine shows in order of first name. Never set it or anything it is just the way it was.

I'm still on lollipop and recently getting frequent freezing and battery life is getting poor.
Seems less reliable than my old OPO now :(

    Any suggestions to help that?

    Move to the official marshmallow

The official marshmallow is still in beta, yes?

My gf's OP2 isn't that reliable either. At least once a week she'll have to force a hard reboot.
I'd rather wait for the Marshamallow update to be sent OTA, instead of flashing the beta.

It's still in Beta afaik but it's an easy flash. You don't need to root the phone or lose any of your data. It just installs over your existing OS.

I did that the other day, very easy install in fairness but no improvement on battery life.

    Hasn't frozen since though.
    Thanks!

What sort of battery life are you getting? I tend to charge mine to full once a day but it's hanging on by a thread by the time I charge it again.

Some things to try, turn down the screen brightness (big battery saver), turn off bluetooth and mobile data when not in use and turn off GPS when not in use.

Does anybody know where I could get an armband for my one plus 2. It's a nuisance in my pocket when I'm going for a run.

I just got one on eBay. Did the job.
Few on there to choose from.
