Anyone having problems accessing app permissions?


When I go to Settings>Apps>WhatsApp>Permissions

It brings me straight back. For other apps like VLC Player I can get into the permissions no problem.

Im on Android 6.0.1 (OxygenOS 3.0.2)

Found the fix, I didn't want to chance it initially but crashing can be fixed by resetting App Preferences from the 3 Dots menu in Settings>Apps

I have just updated, but after rebooting I have just received a txt "From 3: Sorry, we cannot automatically set your phone for internet and picture messaging use. To do this go online on a PC www.three.ie/simsetup"

I checked the network settings and all seems ok. anyone else have this problem?

Yeah I got that too. I just ignored it and haven't had any issues. I'd say it's just for mms but sure who uses that anymore.

Im still having problems changing permissions for WhatsApp. E.g. I can't send a picture.

When trying to turn on permissions, a popup comes up.

Screen overlay detected
To change this permission setting you first have to turn off the screen overlay from Settings>Apps

Open settings

The when I click open settings it brings up 12 other apps, with a toggle to "Permit drawing over other apps".

Anyone else have this issue?

Hi deadanonymau5 - I just checked mine this morning - and I'm having a similar problem too.
The "Permit drawing over other apps" toggle is greyed out, so I cant change it.

I wont have a chance to check it out until later this evening, so if you have found a solution before then please let me know.

And the txt from three was as you all said, just the mms thing...so wont be missing out on that.

Something very strange happened this morning. Switched on my Mobile Data and got LTE.

I don't even have a 4G plan and I've never seen it before the update.

4g is free with Vodafone so enjoy. Throw them a quick call maybe for piece of mind if you like.

I'm on a legacy 30 day plan that doesn't mention 4G though.

I've never got it before updating the phone and thought you needed a plan that allowed 4G to avail of it?

I just updated my oneplus 2, I hope it's not a fck up update.. Bluetooth is working nice though.

I had a minute at lunch, so looks like it was my cleanmaster app - so uninstalled this and my whatsapp working now.

I did have to toggle the permissions but no problems this time.

Seemingly some of these type of apps (battery saving etc) cause the issue.

My fingerprint reader/home button stopped working before the update worked for a day after the update and is dead again.
Has anyone returned there phone to OnePlus and is it an ordeal I should still be in warranty as the phone was only bought in October.

Mine dispatched Wed and arrived today, but my colleague's one when was sent on Tuesday hasn't arrived.

Can't get the ANT VR app though.

Dispatched Wednesday and arrive by courier this morning.

Updated and now when I close chrome and open it back up it brings me to the last page I was on rather than the Google homepage. Any suggestions to fix?

You need to change permissions in safe mode.

Turn off hold power until clogo. Then hold down up/down vol until fully loaded.

Try Chrome - Settings - Merge Tabs and Apps and set it to On

Anybody having any issues with notifications since the update? Text and app update notifications are fine on my op2 but since the update, all calls notifications have ceased. No ring tone, no vibration. Missed a fair few calls so far. Everything seems to be set correct

So any time I open chrome it will be on the last page I visited rather than Google homepage with 8 regularly visited sites. Pretty crap really

Im confused what your confused about, its functioned that way for me since forever. Just open a new tab. Iv a habit of closing tabs before finishing or opening a new tab before I close it and it'll be on that new tab when I open it again. Think of it more as its staying open in the background exactly as you left it.
