Just in case it was bugging anyone else as to where they'd seen the new Wilding Chieftainess before - she was Katrine, the TV news anchor/reporter on Borgen.

    I wouldn't have minded if she'd stuck around a little longer.......:pac:

I thought we were getting a likable new character. An interesting wildling, who's also a great warrior and good mother. And hot too. Naturally she's turned into a fcuking Zombie 10 mins later

Anyone have any ideas how Cersei's future will be determined?
Her uncle sitting on the Small council should be interesting given his son led to her being imprisioned

That'll be really interesting. Clearly there's no love lost between Kevan and Cersei but I can't imagine him passively letting the Faith continue to run amok.

Watching this again, is he walking out to drown himself in order to avoid being turned zombie?

"Hardhome" rating 9.9/10 on IMDb after from 8500+ users - if that holds up it will be the highest rated episode so far in the series ... Exceptional episode! up there with "Ozymandias" in Breaking Bad for me.

    Steady on there feen.... :)

Possibly trial by combat is an option with her calling for the Big M if the 'work' gets done in time.

The implications here are immense - they're essentially fighting an army that will never dwindle.

I thought the part where the Walkers sent the waterfall of wights over the cliff was a real demonstration of the infinite numbers at their command, but then they were still able to get up and fight afterwards. How can they ever hope to win?

Will the different houses have to come together eventually to fight the white walkers?
That could lead to some interesting alliances.

Can the lord of bones come back even though he wasn't killed by a white walker?

who's sword was that, was it infused with dragon glass? so many things to remember http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Longclaw

didn't realise that sir friendzone was son of the previus lord commander until it was mentioned in this and previous ep

Valaryrian steel was made with dragon fire which gives it the power to kill white walkers.

It's Jon's sword that was gifted to him by Jeor Mormont (previous Lord Commander of the Night's Watch) afterJon saved him from the Wight in Castle Black. It was the Mormont family sword, forged from Valyrian steel. It was mentioned earlier in the thread that dragons may have been involved in making Valyrian steel so that's probably why it can kill White Walkers.

I'd say so. I think any dead body can be used by them. I was under the impression that that's why they made sure to burn the bodies after Mance's assault on the Wall.

Surely Calisse and her dragons can sort these lads out easily enough? Seems like anything dragon related can do damage to them so can only imagine what the real deal will do (plus fire is the best way of killing the undead)

Great stuff. As mentioned by others there was a lot going on in that episode even before all hell broke loose.

The young lad back in Castle Black has me worried. I got the impression that rather than convince him to get behind Jon, Sam's "a man's got to make tough decisions speech" might have made up his mind to do what he thinks is right, like block the tunnel or something similar

The poll is a handy addition to the thread.

I'm now looking forward to seeing this episode.

One small problem, her dragons don't seem to give a toss what she says.

i thought he was asking about the deal with the wildlings but was really worried about jon snow, which is why Sam said don't worry he always comes back.

I presumed she's limited to the three eggs she was given back in the day. Guess there may be more knocking around on the black market though

Surely Bran will warg a Dragon? There's been plenty of hints in that direction.

I'd say so. The lads don't seem to carry or know how to use bow and arrows, or anything that would stop an air strike.

Dragons would just light their asses up without much retaliation.

So could Daenerys just let the Winter Come and hang out in the desert where surely winter wont reach, freezing most of Westeros and let the White Walkers wipe out most of her enemies on that island. Then swoop in and kill all the white walkers and take over a barren Westeros starting the Kingdom and wheel of politics from scratch?

Also i presume if the White Walkers take over Westeros destroying everything in their path, they will need to figure out a way to cross the Narrow Sea as they will get hungry if there is nothing left to eat. (Maybe the Narrow Sea freezes and they can cross?)

The battle at Hardhome was the most compelling scene of the series since the Red Wedding.

    Stunning.

And not a cracking pair of Dornish tits in sight

There was also that moment where Sansa realises Bran and Rickon weren't killed... Thought that was a significant moment too.
