I live just around the corner from one and I'd spend so much money there if they weren't taking the piss with their prices. Paying €15-20 over the odds just isn't offset by the convenience of them being local at all.

My Switch console Pre-order with Gamestop. But I'm going to Smyths for Bomberman, Collectors Edition Zelda and 1,2 Switch. So they're missing out on €200 because they wanted to nickle and dime me on the game prices.

I'd be more tempted by Gamestop if their trade in prices weren't so shocking. I took some stuff in today, the prices I got were shockingly bad.

Quick question about gamestop. I've paid in full for Swith and Zelda, since the 13th Jan. That means I can collect it at anytime on launch day right? They hold onto pre-orders for 2 days before they sell them on right? I don't have to be there at midnight or when the shop opens right?

That's what I remember with the WiiU launch when I couldn't get one on launch week.

I'm not holding much hope for Blanch to do one as it's in the centre itself. Did email them but waiting on a response.

Still, a Friday evening with a cold ale wandering around Hyrule with no idea where I'm supposed to be going is an exciting prospect.

Can't stand GS, that's why I switched (get it ;)) my pre-order to Smyths.

I'll get it in Argos though if they have stock on the morning, as I won't be attending a midnight launch, not a fooking hope :pac:

I'm going to a table quiz on the 2nd and I'm hoping to pick up the switch on my way home (assuming my local Gamestop is doing a midnight launch).

Seems like they posted what stores are doing the midnight launch. Disappointing that it's so few. :(

So there I was trying not to get excited about the Switch and this cropped up in my YT feed, I have held off buying Shovel Knight but watching this made me think it's the kind of game that's "itching for a switching'" (TM)

That's my new slogan for the switch Nintendo, just PayPal me a million dollars for marketing for you...

Got the call from GS Patrick St Cork too. Was told not confirmed but ringing to be sure enuf interest bit likely be Midnight launch. Might see some of ye there.

They said its 20% off accessories and likely just be Zelda Carrying case.

If theres an eshop id be happy out with just Zelda. Come on announce a direct already. We only had a 3 minute trailer and 1 Event. Thats it!

The more we get into February, the less convinced I am we'll get a pre launch direct. Specially since that Zelda infomation yesterday was given via a press release or whatever.

No midnight launch in Dun Laoghaire :( There was one for the PS4 but only if you brought a buddy so you didn't get robbed.

I dunno, they said the same thing with GTA V and in the event I think they had 5 copies available to non pre orders.

haha sweet. That beats waiting onto in the rain for 2 hours until 11.59pm in cold for 3DS midnight launch there. Although they gave ys 2 games i think free to the 1st 5 in queue so it was worth it... Could wait in Mutton Lane and get few beers b4 and after 😀

One shop opening in Dublin for a midnight launch and they still have consoles for walk-ins.
