We could and probably will have both. A port is quick to do and ensures a game flow from launch. And Mario Kart 8 was crazy popular.

I'm still not 100% confident of getting one off GameStop on launch day even after pre ordering today.

Have they been taking pre orders since the debut trailer or only more recently?

So since this is a live presentation from Japan, does that mean all games being announced are coming out in all territories around the same time? Or wonder how they'll do it. With Directs there were usually localised streams. Like if Zelda does get delayed, do they state it here?


Was just thinking as well, that I can see some news about Sony or MS consoles coming ovr the next few weeks to try and counter the Switch. Maybe they'll wait for a reaction first though.

I think because it's a launch like this, information will be given for all territories I'm sure. People will be staying up across all time zones so I can't imagine information wouldn't be worldwide based.

I think it depends on the game right. Like dragon quest or whatever will come out in Japan first.

It'd probably be more down to Nintendo than any retailer. I didn't bother pre order yet, I'm interested but I would worry about not knowing much personally.
I don't know the price, its power or drawbacks or any launch games . It's cool to see people excited about Nintendo again so I hope so much that they don't screw it up.

N'ah, don't think either Sony or MS have anything else up their sleeves. I've a feeling the best of the PS4 is already out.

MS don't even have that many, particularly when the biggest Xbox news is what 360 games run on it.
At least Nintendo, via 3DS, WiiU and now Switch are the best pipeline of pure gaming goodness into my living room.

4chan rumors are interesting.... and back up the jori Fighting stick accessory..... ULTRA STREET FIGHTER 2!!! This and Super BomberMan Switch would be simply yet super fun way to show off 2 & 4 player local multiplayer capabilities of the Switch... That might yet be the killer feature... 1 owner shows casual cool mulitplayer as urs 2 controllers 1 system and then casuals go out and buy one.

The way I reason with pre orders, if I've pre ordered and paid the full amount off, they can sod off messing me round. But I'm pretty confident I'll be good for launch.

I think the thing about the conference tonight is that a good portion of it will be stuff we may already have a good idea about because of all the leaks, patents, guessing etc, so I hope some people don't take that as being a disappointing reveal. Obviously the unknown bits about the hardware, the upcoming games, the use of the screen, online system, launch date, price etc will all be stuff that, even though also rumoured, will be what most people will be wanting to know.

Fingers crossed. I don't think it'll be a clean sweep. I have a number of concerns, mostly about the power but other things too, like online, a proper account, paltry on board storage which like Wii U is an added expense for us. I can live with its reputed power but the mass market may not which will then lead to a rerun of Wii U and another failed console. I think they're possibly slowly killing themselves. I'm looking forward to some great new games, I don't want ports of Wii U titles.

Xbox gamer here. Ye are going to have to welcome me back as I just put my pre order in.

Not worried about power to be honest as I'll probably pick up Scorpio at the end of the year. Hoping for a nice fun console for games like Mario kart Pokémon and zelda

Hopefully it will have a good multiplayer, online community. Looking forward to the reveal now. Less than 2 hours
