One thing I've noticed from driving the Yaris again for the last week and a bit, for my driving, it's not a lot more economical than the 525, normally the 525 takes between 50-60 to fill whereas the Yaris is about 40.

economy really isn't about the price of the fill, but how far that fill takes you :).

that has to be my biggest gripe with the celica. the most i've ever been able to squeeze in was €56 and doing 110 miles a day it means i have to fill the tank 2.5 times a week which is pain. i'd love a huge fuel tank.

that said, i had to fill the corolla twice a week too, on a Sunday night and a Thursday morning but the celica just wont do that. it needs that bit extra to get it through the week and that third fill up really bugs me. first world problems i guess.

I always find it funny alright when customers come in and they're like "Ah sure she only took 27.83 today" and I always respond with "How's that a bad thing" :pac:

You don't need a van and are thinking of splashing 15k plus on one ?
15k buys a lot of used car :)

I did say it was a crazy notion :D

I may not buy one at all.

I agree 15 k buys a lot of car on the used car market

Any of ye ever deal with Traynors in Belfast? How's their pricing?

SMG me hole! Just like LSD's in BMW cars, it's only given to M cars.

    Wrong. The SMG was also fitted in the E46 330ci, E60 545i, E60 550i and the E63 645ci.

Is it just me, or a suspicious number of low mileage cars have started to pop up lately?

    Here's another one.

Here's another Micra that seems to have very low miles for its age.

Just in the NCT centre with the 166 now, had to go to Waterford of all places to get an appointment on a reasonable date/time. The car made it as far as the test centre anyway! Probably a good sign. :)

My dad used them a bit. Doesn't have a bad thing to say about them. They'll wait on if you're late getting to the green isle hotel. Got numerous bits for a mini, that conlons were charging a heap for. Pity they don't do transit parts though.

It's based on the assumption of..

"At least when it breaks down I won't get wet"

At least when Alfa's break down it's usually easy to diagnose........ :(

I used Traynors once. Gave them a call asking about the part I needed, paid with PayPal and had it in about 2 or 3 days. Price seemed reasonable as well.

I'm going to put my bumper on next weekend but I'm starting to fear the new paint won't match very well (I can't tell for sure cos the car and bumper haven't been side by side yet). I'm debating buying a DA polisher to bring the current paint back to life myself, or else head to D&D in Cork to have them do it. Any thoughts or advice?

Chances of me passing a boardsie for me are very slim.

Noticed that myself, spotted a few up the Sally gap today. 166man nearly made be **** my pants when he slammed on his breaks after seeing a 156 ti, thought the gtv and his 156 were going to become one for a moment.

Lad "looked at" the motor today

Got out of his car, walked around it, opened both front doors, and then said "no, its rotten" and left.

 , it might be a lot of things but rotten it is not, and even if it was, a quick walk around ain't going to tell you.

I'd forgotten how sh1te selling motors is..

Well the Alfa failed the NCT unfortunately. Rear wheel alignment was out apparently... Just on the limit too so it almost passed. Reversing lights not working either. I think that's down to a bad earth as none of the electric things in the boot lid are working. Hopefully I'll get that sorted tomorrow and then get the wheels aligned during the week. I have the retest booked for next Sunday. :)

It's much easier to buy cars than it is to sell them. :(
