On what basis are you concluding that some men feel they own a hooker?

Do you think people feel they own a waiter or a plumber when they receive their services due to payment?

When you're buying food you receive the services of the waiter to serve you.

When you're buying sex from a prostitute, you're paying for her skills and for the intimate, and usually receptive, use of her body.

If you see no difference between the skills and uses of a waiter and a prostitute, you should just go to TGI Fridays and satisfy a few physical needs in one go.

Here you asked me " who claimed it was proof" and then in the next sentence claimed it was prooved by saying it was fact!

I'm not taking time to respond about you mixing up words again. It's not even debatable.

no the proof thing was about you saying that men and women desire sex in different ways, and I can agree that women like sex in a different way or want a different type of sex

but men still have a higher sex drive or libido

    Oh god

On the basis that they bought her.

Some people are very rude to waiters and plumbers.

But I never said it was proof. I said it's an idea.

Your the one going around with all the "proof" right?

yes, and it has been proved time and time again, in study after study that men have a higher sex drive than woman

at this point I think its really bizarre that you will deny something that the whole world can see is true

    you must be a feminist

you work. you provide a service. your company pays you. does that mean they own you? No.

Partially yes. You have to behave a certain way, there are certain things you cannot do, things they can get you to do etc.

Some bosses can be very mean, why? Cause they know you need the job.

I'm not sure how anyone doesn't understand this but this thread is seriously making me doubt what I thought was common knowledge, self awareness and peoples own general awareness of people.

I don't know but yous are the ones claiming that it is a FACT that mens is higher

I am just saying and showing reasons why that apparent fact might not be true

I don't think I actually did claim it was a fact. The studies and evidence suggests men do have a higher sex drive.

If I may proffer a method of measuring sex drive. The effort with which one imparts pursuing their sexual desires. Do you believe there is no difference between the effort men and women expend pursuing their sexual desires?

Actually I have never felt the need or been interested in feminism and I don't know alot about feminist groups.

Tbh I never really seen the level and lack of understanding, bitterness, fear and hypocrisy of some people until I took part in this thread.

I have a very positive view of men which I put down to the fact that I have grown up with alot of great males in my family and a wonderful husband.

Your company neither owns you fully nor partially, they pay you to provide a service and that's it.

You only have to look at the make up industry and the effort women put into their appearance to attract people and feel good about themselves.

I already said, your basing "effort" on how a man goes about to get his needs met but your not taking into account the things that women do just because they don't go about it in the same way does not mean they don't have drive.

And you don't think that some bosses are mean to their employees because they get a kick out of the power they have over them? Come on!

no bitterness from me, and no fear, and where is the hypocrisy

and to be honest I really think its you who is showing a serious lack of understanding, I find it very strange when people deny really basic facts

As you can see, all of the women said no to the man and all of the men said yes to the women (bar one because he was working). You could replicate this experiment in Ireland or any other country in the world and get similar if not identical results.

How do you explain this if as you claim, women do not have an advantage when it comes to finding sex? Is it you who is going to be like a religious person and deny a fact overwhelmingly backed by empirical evidence?

We'll say for the sake of argument then that I accept your point that women do indeed have an advantage when it comes to finding sex.

What then do you propose should men do to address what you see as this advantage that women have when it comes to finding sex?

    examples please?

Susan McKay, CEO of the Women's Council commended Minister Phil Hogan for introducing the legislation but said that the government needs to reverse anti-women elements of the budget, including cuts to child benefit, restrictions to the ability of lone parents to get decent work, cuts to resources for carers and the removal of jobs from low paid women putting a further burden on women who are not paid at all

    http://www.nwci.ie/?/news/article/historic_bill_tastes_bittersweet_after_budget_cutbacks

The same message is always trotted out after public sector pay cuts, it's 'anti-woman' because women are disrorportionately reprseented in that sector.
Austerity is 'anti-woman' because they are the major beneficiaries of benefits and support services.

That link proves nothing. Both men and women have strong sex drives in order to propagate the species. Monogamy is neither suited to men nor women, it's an artificial mechanism that attempts to fit a square peg in a round hole, pardon the pun. Women want sex with the "alpha males", monogamy doesn'the suit this drive as there aren'the enough alpha males to go around.

well to be fair I did ask if there was one study that found that women had the same sex drive as women

I don't think the link offers much proof, and if men and women had the same sex drive then why is it that gay men have far more sex and far more partners than lesbians

there is always a big market for a book that claims men and women are the same

I'd actually go further and say that if the Pareto principle holds true and with sexual liberation were now seeing the effects today, an increase in lone parents and more single people in there thirties.

When you increase women's testosterone levels to that of men artificially then have a similar level of sex drive as men.

There's an even bigger market for people to exploit the notion that men and women aren't the same in terms of their sexual desires. In fact this is the very basis of the myth propagated by the sex industry whose main market is men.

If I were to believe everything I see in the sex industry, I'd be given to think that lesbian women don't even take a smoke break! :pac:

Male and female sexuality is significantly different as shown by the studies showing that women become aroused by animal sex whereas men don't.

I'm genuinely struggling to see how that addresses the issue some posters here have, that women seem to have an advantage when it comes to procuring sexual relief, over men who it seems are at a disadvantage when it comes to procuring sexual relief?

Have you any suggestions as to what men who are aware of this disparity can do to address it?
