I'm very surprised they didnt go in for Cutler, whatever his faults he's for better than Savage or Watson imo.

Texans won't do anything without a QB no matter how good their defense is

Watson is a good player. I firmly believe he could do the job in Houston long term.

Your probably right on Cutler for this season though or Kaep

Wonder if Romo has a contract clause in CBS. Houston should have offered him the max they could on the cap for one year.

It's a bit of a joke too, I mean Marshawn Lynch got picked up by the Raiders so we're hearing claims that "if Kaepernick was good enough he would have been picked up too" etc.......... and then we see what's going on in some places like Houston.
They spoke about it on Sky on Sunday. The QB is seen as the face of the franchise, Marshawn isn't, so teams don't want the association.
If Kap was a top 15 QB, he'd be with a team. He's def in the top 64, and should be signed. Texans is a good example; that D should have a proper QB.

I think he already addressed this when he joined CBS. He acknowledged that he was seriously considering Houston, but that he chose CBS over them for his long term career prospects.

Not so sure I agree with them there, I mean with that example anyway - Marshawn was the face and leader of the last team he was on.

They did, and I was watching on Gamepass (outside of Jeff Reinebold Sky coverage has gone to the utter dogs over the last maybe 6-8 years in my opinion) but if their argument was that Lynch got picked up and not Kaepernick because a QB is the face of a franchise by default I just don't buy it basically. The absolute undeniable face of the Texans is and will likely until he retires/moves, be JJ Watt and no decent, journeyman QB is going to change that, just like Ray Lewis was always the face of the Ravens no matter who was under center.

The answer to people who say it he was good enough he be on a team is Scott Tolzien. Anyone who says he is not better than Tolzien is just wrong.

As a Packers fan I can back up this 49ers fans assertion, and I'm sure both of us were curious how he got the locked in backup spot in Indianapolis to begin with. :p

I doubt the Colts could afford to pay Kaepernick to back up Luck, he ain't playing for Vet. minimum so in some cases I don't think Kaepernick is an option. Thst being said he alot better than some, the Texans is a good example as Savage is terrible & Watson will only cost peanuts for a few years.

    What a shock.

Possibly the biggest dickhead in the entire league, and that's saying something.

Came across horrifically on Hard Knocks.

Pretty much my exact immediate reaction; if that guy wasn't on PEDs it would be the story of the year. And an absolute pulsating bellend too.

The winningest QB in FirstEnergy Stadium (Cleveland Browns) history is an Ohio born hero who went to college in Ohio also, none other than Ben Roethlisberger!!

On Sunday, he surpassed Derek Anderson for the most wins in FirstEnergy Stadium history with his 11th win in the stadium.

Cool story, ruined by the use of the word 'winningest'.

Jacoby Brissett will start for the Colts on Sunday, he has only been in the building 15 days, yet this is definitely the right call.

One journalist saw another side of it last week, saying that it was obvious against the Rams that Brissett had not learned the playbook in a week ashe wasn't throwing around pick 6's. :D

It's been 255 days since the bengals last scored a TD which means Obama was US president still when they last did it. This is according to the wonderful Connie Fox of NFL network.

I hate those stats. How many minutes of actual serious game time is that given it covers the offseason?

Trump's team only has the best receivers, the greatest receivers, the finest receivers. Guys like JJ Redick, Julian Amendola, Chris Weinke, and of course Riley Coopers. The purest WR corps there is! Only the best folks, only the best! Don't believe the leaderboards folks, they're all rigged! Fake scores folks, fake scores!

Worse again is in the Premier League, ones like "Tottenham have never won a top flight game in [insert home ground of team in their first ever top flight season here]". It's usually more like "in 30-40 years" when that team have not been in the top flight in 30-40 years but the fact the commentators continue to say it with a straight face is just...:rolleyes:

Julian Amendola? Someone trying to splice together Edelman and Amendola to make one guy?

Sam Bradford injured again apparently. Game time decision today, but:

    Such a shame.
