There must be something about that area of galway but they always seem to get good lightning when there is a chance. But it always seems to happen when Im in Galway city, (ie during work hours)

The outer edge of the convection is nearing the coast now,here's 2 pics of the edges where turbulence up there is obvious

Looks like a funnel cloud in the distance from this now just south of Aanagh hill near Gorey,my camera doesnt look like I picked it up tgere as Its far away,I got a text message about it so wasnt quick enough to get to where I could view,you may make it out in the attached,it has risen now zoom in near the bottom in the break in the trees

They did mention a few light showers in the afternoon, its unfortunate that THE light shower happened to drift into Dublin

It is raining at the RDS for the Dublin Horse Show while there is plenty of sunshine in Limerick.

Most Unstable CAPE...that is CAPE calculated from the most unstable layer in the atmosphere, which may or may not be the surface layer (SBCAPE).
