Guessing that's it for dublin tonight

I'm sure showers (or the remnants of showers) will make it through overnight.

    Anything for Cork tonight?

There should be a decent enough snow shower within the hour i'd imagine.

Here is a link to radar if anyone is interested. Updates every 20 minutes.

Behind the showers in the west midlands things looking a lot quieter for the next few hours. Not a lot coming in off the Atlantic. Time to sign off a while.

Heavy Snow in Limerick!! Big flakes :O

Like a pillow exploded, don't think I ever saw such big light fluffy flakes in Ireland. Slackened off now to the more usual small flakes. Nice for a few mins under the streetlights anyway.

Was just about to ask if anyone had seen heavy snow, with our current weather system. Apologies if anyone else has mentioned them having seen it, I haven't followed every post in the thread.

Is that big blob of snow on the map around Birr heading for Dublin?

Looks like there's another blob of precipitation heading towards Limerick now. Gonna be a nice morning tomorrow when I wake up :D

Showers really struggling to stay together now even before they get to Kildare. Some real humdingers arriving onto the West Coast now!

Showers splitting before reaching sligo town

    Tubbercurry getting pasted

How come a Westerly with rain brings lots of showers but snow fades

  • Registered Users Posts: 241 ✭✭kerrycork13

Heavy shower in East Cork not long ago. 2 degrees and rain though :'(

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,901 ✭✭✭JanuarySnowstor

Uppers are marginal in cork right now which is causing sleet to fall and even rain.
This should come right again through the night.

In the meantime a heavy blob of something is imminent
