Motortax.ie gives the plate a tax rate of €180 a year so no.

COuld you explain more please? How would the tax be different for a Garda car?

road rage more likely. Any serious crash for crash merchant would have taken the brake light bulbs out.

I followed this guy from Dundalk to Blackrock, about 5km and he was all over the place. Had a kid in the front seat with him who was waving his phone about, not paying any attention to the road.

Looks like the white lorry driver had to dodge a mad overtaker.
Wonder if either truck had a dash cam.

The white lorry was English/Northern reg, and a hire/lease vehicle so maybe inexperience was a factor. It was one of those roads where you get 'sucked in' if you leave the tarred strip. His windscreen was cracked on the passenger side so it wasn't a gentle slide in.

What is wrong with your cam?

Ya can grab you fairly quick, it's also fairly come place to see some terrible overtaking on that road

I also thought it was an inexperienced rental truck driver, but now I think a bad overtake of the broken down logging truck forced the rental driver to take evasive action.

No, to me it appears that the logging truck was being overtaken by someone who left it so late that the white truck had to dodge out of its way and ended up in the ditch.

The logging truck probably stopped after the incident to help.

The logging truck probably stopped after the incident to help.

And the fact that he is still there, after the guards arrive, means he might have something to say

But isn't the cab of the logging truck tilted forward as if it was broken down?

or is that the cab suspension I'm seeing?

Hope he paid for the excess cover on the rental contract.

Maybe, he has the incident on crash cam?

More Roundabout idiots today, this genius was on a mission to ruin someone's day. No audio on the clip but serious tyre screech from the Civic, it's driver had good reactions to avoid a crash.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭Yawns

**** like that is how I can see some road rage legitimately happening. Like if you had seen the civic driver catch up and drag him out of the car, could you really blame him. Jesus...

It’s a Renault so it’s probably just falling apart

That's one of those situations where if you were the Civic driver you would really question "is this guy really that stupid to cut in front of me instead of using the correct lane?"
