I still think we can chase this. Massive pitch so running is crucial, but we need to make it as easy as possible

Looks like be 270+ but we will still chase it down..

    The bowling is so predictable

Yep. That's the big problem for us

It's fine if you're getting wickets, but if not you're letting the batsmen play themselves in at their leisure

Should be a reasonable amount of runs there for us - but that being said I've no idea what the UAE are like with the ball

Mohommed naveed is sharp but wayward. Saw them against the zims. They lost it when they were attacked. Others are a mixture of slow seamers and bits and pieces spinners. Tardy enough in the field aswell. 230/6 now, good recovery.

You'd have to fancy us to be capable of 300+ against most sides, and definitely by the sounds of that against these guys

I don't trust Kev with the ball at the end at all. Way too loose

Yaaay. Great catch Joyce. Badly needed

    238/7

    Fine catch by Joyce

Could have done with that 5/6 overs ago

Frustrating stand this. a load of rabbits left too by the look of it. the left hander Mustafa who was last out would be a 10 or 11 in most other teams. seen him bat a few times, looks like a walking wicket. has all the moves, just doesnt connect very often. 7 down

We won't rattle them out unless we start putting the ball up there on the stumps, which I get the feeling we're not going to do. Instead we're going to tease them with hittable balls in the hope of getting a catch. It's absolutely insane tactics

Just imagine what'd happen if an in-form Afridi comes in the 15th lol

Christ almighty Kev. WTF is that... again

Why on earth didn't KOB just bowl full at the wicket there. Losing the plot it seems.

He's the last man I'd have bowling at the end TBH

We've made it too easy for him, but yeah, you can only face the balls you're bowled

Reminds me Stephen Finn the other day against McCullum. Constantly banging it waist height looking to be crucified.

We might yet be chasing 300 again. We should have had them all out for 220 or so.

  • Registered Users Posts: 39,531 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    19 off the over eeeeek

bad bad over from o brien

  • Registered Users Posts: 395 ✭✭Cricket fan

Us and Zimbabwe are the two worst bowling teams at the death IMO. Even Scotland took wickets.

We should chase this, but we place so much pressure on the batsmen every game

Ireland must be trying to get them to 300. We always win when the opposition gets to 300
