What's the panic? Obviously the quicker the better but there's not a massive urgency

This. They're not exactly going after the bowling at the moment. Our death bowling is poor, so keeping it tight and waiting for them to sky it or misjudge a delivery, assuming they keep a low scoring rate, is fine for us

Longer it goes more chance of cock ups

Would like to see them gone sharpish especially that we are in PP time

Didn't think Khurram was out on first view, just about!

Anwar is the main threat here. If we can get rid of him in the next 4-5 overs we should be very happy and healthy

I'd like it to finish early enough so I can get home at a respectable hour to relax before going to work tomorrow!

Still can't get my head around this Irish and English thing of shorter deliveries in the last 15 overs. Get the bloody thing up on their toes and make them work for their runs

Not watching this, just following this thread and cricinfo. Khurrum Khan was a big wicket. Shaiman Anwar Made 67 off 50 balls v Zimbabwe and is well set here. 240-250 Looks on. What is the pitch like?

If we don't stop this soon I think they'll get 260-270 tbh

Pitch is good. As long as we keep the head we should be winning this

    :(

Shouldnt have let them reach this, now 250 plus could be on.

Batsmen gonna have to turn up again

Should be a reasonable amount of runs there for us - but that being said I've no idea what the UAE are like with the ball

We are now in big trouble

Cant see us chasing down 255+ on this pitch:mad:

We could conceded 400 against India, our bowling is absolute gash at the death.

Somehow need to keep them to about 260 or 270.

last 5 overs by seamers, 63 percent short and 0 yorkers.

    why????

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,808 ✭✭✭Mysterypunter

Rate has increased for sure. but they are still 6 down. Get another couple and they could fold. 74 off 8 overs from this pair so far

Nothing wrong with this pitch for batting IMO. Runs are there

Gotta love the negativity and pessimism on here. Same the last day. Have a bit of faith lads and don't write them off

I know. It's so frustrating. Said it a few pages back, put the bloody thing on their toes and make them work. Sure, you'll get hit a few times, but you're more likely to actually pick up a wicket. Right now we're getting hit and having no chance of wickets
