Does a Boeing 777 from Istanbul - Houston really have to fly over Co. Wexford etc ?

Why do you think it shouldn't?,Think of the curvature of the earth and its shorter to go by wexford than in a straight line on a piece of paper.

Possibly showing my ignorance here, but not Lufthansa?

That's actually pretty close to the optimal routing. See attached.

The three Interflug A310s all went to the Luftwaffe to replace four elderly 707s.

There had been a long rivalry between Interflug and Lufthansa and I don't think Lufty wanted anything to do with ex-DDR airframes.

Not on radar anymore (again people this is where screenshots come in handy) but I can say without any reasonable doubt that that is one of the 3 Lourdes charters from Shannon for today. Will depart Shannon soon.

Looks like EI661 had a go around at Dublin.

EDIT: Looks like they just switched from 28 to 10. Must have had a tailwind on final.

Changed the runway after the EI661 go around.
Is it bad that I knew that EI661 was Vienna-Dublin? That flight goes around all the time.

We're getting a revamp at LTN shortly, including a multi storey car park next to the runway!! Will probably be frequented by a few spotters...apparently there's a chance it will be an official spectators area too

I still haven't got round to trying streaming from there, sorry. I'm wondering how useful it would be as you can't seem able to zoom when streaming which is a bit bloody pointless if you ask me. But I will try soon...

Temporary Fog forecast for ORK from 21:00 visibility down to 0500m. Unlikely to happen but is a possibility.

First flew in 1983....32 years ago if my maths is right!
It's hard to be 757's for looks and I think the DHL livery looks great on them!

Love the retro livery, haven't seen this on any current planes. I'm not much of a spotter but think this would be lovely to be on. Is the passenger cabin different to any other EI A320's in this 214 class?

DVM is a beauty, inside and out. I was on it last year Heathrow to Dublin and didnt want to get off. Its the same inside as the others but more modern as I think it was new in 2012

I noticed a couple of planes circling off the coast not far from Hong Kong. The Garuda in the pic below and a Singapore airlines. Both heading to Shanghai.

    Any reason for this?
