Wouldn't call them horrid. Similar to Emirates A380 offering in some regards.

But that looks like something I want to sleep in, the other one doesnt look that comfortable.

Emirates Executive A319CJ was a fuel stop. It departed around 2100.

If a Ryanair flight was delayed similar to the above in the past then that flight was cancelled and then miraculously the replacement aircraft would arrive and then continue as a new flight number!

Thats why its a 94% on time record!! :D

If you're talking about Birmingham, its your average Industrial British city, nothing special, nothing really to do, I was there twice for 3 nights, each time I was wanting to go home after night 1.

Yep! Tech flight is cancelled so doesn't count for On Time Performance (OTP) and the rescue flight departs on time:D win win for everyone except for these pesky passengers who pay the bills:D:D

There are actually some blocked aircraft on Planeplotter, which won't respond to requests for network MLAT. But they are very few in number and are by direct requst of the defence agencies. Presumably operational UAVs etc.

The other problem with Planeplotter is that MLAT coverage over Ireland is very poor, usually ceases about 10 miles in from the coasts.

All more than worth it to identify 90% of the blocked traffic and beat the time delays on FR24 and to plot those REACH and other military. We do need more feeders in Ireland, especially to cover eastbounds, but it is getting better. The C130, C17, C5, KC135 etc are common plots. But it is interesting to see the U2 cruising over the Scottish highlands at FL600, V22's and Eurofighters and so on.

And it's only $18 + VAT to get a lot more of the good stuff that you can't get on FR24.

FR24 are the big boys, the market leaders and it looks like the worlds media turn to them. So, it appears that because of this profile - they do not want pee any of the authorities off.

    http://planeplottermobile.com/

It's a bit of a hassle to set up and in my experience, you have nearly 100% plot cover with both apps.

Bomb scare at Glasgow International. All clear now. Remember the time terrorists tried to pick a fight with the Scots - "We'll set about ye" :D

Safe journey, EI146. I can't even begin to imagine how desperately sad that flight must be. :(

you have nearly 100% plot cover
Planefinder are extremely quick to respond to aircraft blocking requests, so I'm not sure if you will get 100% coverage.

Very unusual (and loud) 4 engined propeller plane passed over Kilkee Co.Clare a minute ago coming from the Atlantic and probably going to Shannon.

    I assume US military?

Finally had a moment to check the logs! WC-130J 99-5309 RCH584 landed Shannon at 19:40 on 2015-06-10.

Slightly unusual Herky, it's a weather recce variant. Assigned to the 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron, 'Hurricane Hunters'.

    And their official page:

    Departed westwards 08:45 on 2015-06-12.

Nothing that I could hear on SFO ATC. Was very hard to follow as there were so many different feeds so I stuck with the tower. Ei146 just over Ballina now and in contact with Shannon.

Those poor families. Lovely tweet from the Irish Consul.

Is anyone aware of any special aircraft in SNN today around lunch time? Plenty of blacked out range rovers and garda presence.

I have C-32 99-0004 as SAM406 logged as descending below 8,000 ft around 13:00. Would that correspond?

Went out again a couple of hours later.

Not sure who was on it but there's a major US visit to NATO this week. 'Atlantic Resolve'

May I ask, how likely is a go-around due to lasers? I'd imagine unlikely, but if it renders the pilot temporary blind/visually impaired, could it result in one?
