Have the luxury of not having much value tied up in either Costa or Austin.

So could take either out for a week or two and sort in wildcard. The only difference is Austin requires a hit, dropping Zab to probably Trippier.

    So, Costa to Aguero
    Or
    Austin/Zab to Trip/Aguero.

    Next two fixtures
    Costa: swa, MCI
    Austin: MUN, sto

I think that means it has to be Austin.
Did you go for it then?

Related, other than Trippier, best defender 4.8 or under for a 2 week punt?

    Pieters? lei, QPR?
To be honest I don't see much better options at that price. Burnley may actually have the best fixtures of all teams in the next 2 games.

I did. It was my gut and I was overthinking it.

It could become the first moves of my wildcard. Especially if United ADM/Falcao look irresistible today.

Going to get rid of Barkley ...

Thinking of investing in a Southampton replacement as Bertrand is the only Southampton player I have..

I already have the usual suspects in MF ... Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy and Boyd.

Which Southampton MF should I go for?

MoTD didn't even show Aguero coming on or having any chances.

That said, looking at my team for next week I've no outstanding captain choice so Aguero may be worth the -4.

Did Rooney to Aguero last night as planned but Azpi's injury and general crapness may force my hand to wildcard. I'll see how today goes first.

Looking at a -4 to get aguero in.

Have to Downgrade one of my midfield and then there's the bother of deciding which forward to drop. (Costa,Ings,Kane)

I've a mental selection headache now.

    Front 8 is
    Haz, Silva, Sanchez, Downing, Sterling
    Aguero, Costa, Kane

Wow, how much is your team value, I looked at the leader yesterday and I see he is at 103.4, seemed low to me for someone so high, I presume you are heading for 108?

    108.4 overall. 105.8 resale.

I went for the strong front 8 option before Xmas and haven't had a chance to downgrade the 5th mid yet. It finally paid off this week actually with Downing subbing in for Sterling.

Could have downgraded a mid in getting Aguero but really really wanted rid of Zab!

I now have 2 Burnley defenders though!

Team value doesn't mean so much when looking at who's doing the best.

The more transfers you make the more likely team value is going to go down.

Assuming I kept Costa, which one of the following mids should I downgrade in order to get Aguero:

    Hazard Silva Sanchez ADM

Would have around 7.5 to play with assuming I keep both Sanchez and Hazard. None if the mid priced mids are jumping out at me.

Ya that's gone through my head alright, will see how the two of them get on today.

I may just do Costa to Aguero for now and in a few weeks when Walcott and Sturridge prove their fitness hopefully, go with this:

    Walcott Hazard Silva ADM
    Aguero Sturridge Kane

Getting Aguero will require 2 transfer minimum for me unless I get rid of Costa which I wont be doing. I rather wait until Aguero gets match fit first before butchering my team to get him in. Also, I rather keep my wildcard until the end of the window.

    Forster, Green

    Cresswell, Terry, Bertrand, Hutton, Dummett

    Boyd, Sanchez, Silva, Hazard, Sigurdsson

    Austin, Kane, Costa

3.1m in the Bank and need to pull £3.2m+ from somewhere to get Aguero :(

I'd get rid of Cresswell and get a West Brom defender for the final rotating defensive spot along with Terry and Bertrand...Wisdom or Baird of he keeps his place.

Need to use 3 transfers minimum to get in Aguero then and need to downgrade a midfielder. Getting Aguero back is going to be a bitch!!

Really regret getting rid of Bertrand when S'ton went on their bad run. :(

Zabaleta for someone (possibly Phil Jones) and Rooney to Aguero is the plan at the moment.

Zabaleta might get a stay of execution now due to that Debuchy Injury. So to afford Rooney to Aguero I will need to sell Debuchy for a 3.9 defender.
    Baird or Wasilewski?
Is Baird Nailed on at WBA?
Wasilewski has played 90 minutes the last 12 GWs so I'd say he is pretty secure...

Looks like Debuchy out. Might be getting Bertrand in a few weeks ahead of schedule.

Only a crazy man would play Wasil every week.

He got 7 because he was playing the worst attack in the league.

Thoughts on Eriksen to Chadli? Saving 1.6.

Hull up next for West Ham. Then it's Liverpool, United, Southampton, Spurs, Palace, Chelsea and Arsenal. I think after the Hull game it's time to sell Downing.

Probably looking at a -4 this week and as of now probably:

    Theo -> Albrighton
    Austin -> Aguero

Depends on RVP too. I'll revisit Theo in a few weeks with the WC.

All subject to change of course :pac:

Saw a tweet shared by a Villa supporter I know stating they've failed to score in 13 of their last 25 games.

That phrase is my pet hate of this forum. Firstly, NOBODY is "nailed on" definitely not a 3.9m defender. Secondly, unless Tony Pulis is posting in disguise then nobody here knows if he's likely to stay first choice. Thirdly, Tony Pulis has worked at WB for 10 days now, I doubt he even knows.
