Do you not go to a barber?

Nah, hairdresser who also does mens hair.

Been to same one for over three years. Now she's off on maternity. I usually just ask for "the usual", no good at describing what needs done. :o

Anyone perchance know anything about consumer rights? Bought a briefcase type laptop bag about 3 months ago but it's getting holes in it where the handles attach to the bag, just through every day use. To me that shouldn't be happening. I still have the receipt, if I returned it would I have much chance of getting it replaced for being faulty?

Should be lasting more than three months. I'd be bringing it back for sure.

Was it a cheap one though?

    It was about €80.

Jesus that should be lasting more than three months!

Applegreen have a luggage promotion on and I got their "messenger bag" from it, seems very durable, I was sick of backpacks as I often have the laptop and reference books in my bag and it weighs a ton

I spent about 50 quid on a bag that had the same problem. I carry my laptop in mine though so I figured it was just too much usage for what I paid. Ended up shelling out for a proper leather one afterwards and the first thing I checked was the straps!

In a nod to fashion I decided last year to replace my backpack with a woman's leather satchel

Three weeks it lasted until one day walking to the office the strap detached completely on one side and everything went crashing to the ground

About the same as you spend getting your hair done...

I shaved the head after a month of not finding any time (or willpower) to go to the hairdressers. Grand job. My daughter cried. What a wuss.

15 quid once a month for me, quick in and out job, no nonsense and a good quality cut

Tbh you don't really need to know your consumer rights. It'll probably say on a label somewhere if it has a warranty, if not the brand will have warranty info on the website. But even if it didn't, bringing it back to the retailer will probably get you a repair at the very minimum and possibly a replacement bag. It would be ridiculously bad business for them to do otherwise. Particularly considering the retailer didn't make the bag, so they'll just pass it on up the line.

I have a grey patch like Conor Murray that isn't as noticable when it's cut. ;)

    Don't spend 80 quid though!

Never noticed Conoro Murray has a grey patch at all.

I empathise though, I'm the same, any sort of length in my hair and the grey patches age me ten years, and believe me, I don't need that!

That's gas, I have the exact same patch of grey! I've very short hair (just longer than a number four all over) so if it grows and the grey shows really badly it looks mank

I actually used to have that patch, albeit a bit smaller, but through no actions of my own it has vanished. I don't really know how/why.

That's amazing, happened to a mate of mine too. Swears it just grew out by itself, you might know him actually - his name is Justin Formen?

Stress can bring on the grey hair and you can see it disappear to some degree at least if the stress is removed.

As for hair cuts I just spent a few quid on a decent razor and do it myself. 5 mins and job done without leaving the house or forking out any cash. Can't beat it.

Do you ever get your beard trimmed or do you just grow it out and style it to whatever scarf you're wearing?

Reddit has completely lost its **** overnight after r/fatpeoplehate has been banned. Its time to give up on that site I think.

Reddit has completely lost its **** overnight after r/fatpeoplehate has been banned. Its time to give up on that site I think.

Just unsubscribe from the default subs they've flooded and voila, you've got a decent front page once more.

But the site is in trouble, no doubt. I don't think they thought through this move. That sub was filled with militant a*sholes who got their kicks from abuse.

Whenever anyone challenged them, they'd scream about how it's a genuine problem in society and needs to be talked about. The issue is, they never did that. All they did was post photos of fat people they saw or screen grabs from their Facebook pages insulting overweight people and abuse anyone who says their happy with being overweight.

It reminds me of the atheism sub. The only group of people as obnoxious and annoying as the aggressive Christian elements are those populating the atheism sub which is essentially "You're a f*cking moron if you believe in a higher power". They turned into everything they complained about.
