It was around 31 most of the weekend here and honestly I didn't fare too well. I can wander around in it but I quickly become a sweaty mess. And any kind of exercise etc is out of the bloody question.

    That's the old age.

I'd love it if it was 20+ degrees here for an extended period of time.

We really don't handle the heat well.

    Are you a ginger Buer?

The weather here is similar to Dublin but a couple of degrees warmer and it makes all the difference. Dublin/Bray was always not quite warm enough during the summer for me.

I am an extremely pasty brown haired chap so I burn probably as quickly. I actually don't mind the heat unless it gets up to around 33 or 34C. Then I start to suffer but no issue with heat up to that level.

It's the humidity that's a killer and that can happen when it's 25C. Spent 4 months in NYC and never experienced humidity before or since like that, even in Asia. You shower and you may as well not dry yourself off.

Singapore is the worst place I've ever been for humidity. It's just ridiculous. If you look at their forecast now they're getting 98% tomorrow and 97% on Thursday! I don't know how they deal with it.

Went to France a few years ago in the middle of a heatwave. Every day touched 40!! Lovely diving into a cool pool in that heat.

Worked in Seville for two summers where temps were pushing 45. Easily the hottest I have ever been. Working outdoors with kids was torture in that weather.

Budapest is like that in August, dry yourself of and by the time you reach the bedroom your soaking again. Love dry heat but that's not nice at all.

I remember my first day in Thailand wanted to go for a jog. Went off for a 4k run and didn't realize it was around 40c with silly humidity. Must've been the jetlag but I didn't feel it until I got back to the bed, sat down, and slept for 24 hours in a pool of my own stupidity.

I hate the heat, the only way I can deal with it is just embracing it and going out and training in it or running/swimming/etc

Yeah Florida can get pretty bad at times. Been over there a few times. That feeling you get when you walk out of the airport after you land is mental. It's almost like walking into a wall of heat and humidity.

I lived and trained abroad for a year and a half and when the temperatures got to 37 / 38 it got very hard to get up, let alone train. After around two weeks though the body just gets used to it and actually I found it fantastic to train in once hydration was well managed.

Came back weighing 68.5kg at 6"2 inches!

it helps fight the bloated lethargic feeling though. Meaning you sleep better, eat more and drink more
