The interview with D'Arcy was a pretty sorry affair although I only heard a snippet. It was painful how eager he was to paint himself as a crusader, facing down Blatter for the injustice of the handball incident. Didn't seem like RD was in any way trying to ask any good questions on it either.

Do you remember when he was recorded singing a rebel song?

He started "crying" on Newstalk, Pat Kenny I think, at the amount of horrid bullying his partner, not him, was getting online

They are pretty heavy so we ended up making the bars a bit smaller. I think we got 20 or so out of the whole batch. So that's about 356, 8 and 24 per bar.

They strike me as a relatively healthy hidden-weapon for someone on a bulk, but you'd probably want something with more carbs after a workout or a game.

To be honest we just made them because my wife is on a gluten and dairy free regime at the moment and they looked nice. I'll be having them again though.

Had never been to Galway before (to my eternal shame) but I thoroughly enjoyed last weekend, The Skeff during the day, Coyotes and The Kings Head at night (all I can remember) will definitely return, perhaps the august bank hol weekend as all of us thoroughly enjoyed it

It's a great place alright. I cycled to Galway in March from Maynooth and it was a great party. The pint in the Skeff was worth the cycle - built up some thirst :)

Anywhere decent to head in Clare for the bank holiday weekend in August? Would be looking for somewhere with a bit of nightlife.

Just back from Clare myself... But the spots I was in the nightlife involved a couple of pints of Guinness infront of a fire, so probably no help!

My girlfriend is from the banner county and for all the numerous times we've been down there at her parents she has never taken me on a night out in Clare.

Read into that what you will. :pac:

She's ashamed to bring you out in public?

So... Champions final tomorrow. Business end of the CL is one of the few things in football that I look forward to anymore.

Suarez, messi and Neymar upfront should provide some fireworks!

Chellini is out, his replacement Barzagli could be out too, it could be a massacre unfortunately

I'm a barca fan so I'll be rooting for them but I don't think it's a forgone conclusion

Juve have a top class midfield so if they show up it could be interesting, but Neymar/Messi/Suarez is possibly the best frontline... ever? I can't see it going any other way but Barca by 2 or 3 goals.

I barely watch any football but I'm watching the Ireland match, why is the crowd booing Sterling?

I'm not a big fan of all that "Rugby is a gentleman's game" crap but the way some of these guys are speaking to the referee is ridiculous, they could certainly do with a referee like Nigel Owens.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,891 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

Sterling wants to leave Liverpool so presumably it's Liverpool fans doing the booing.

Wawrinka is playing some unreal tennis here in the French open final.

Yup, although I think those two always went to five sets in the past

Making a lot of errors now though.

Tbh I didn't think he was at the level to mix it with Djokovic in a final but what do I know.

  • Posts: 13,106 ✭✭✭✭ Jovanni Miniature Bayonet

Wawrinka takes it, denies Djokovic the career grand slam. He totally deserved it, super performance.

The irony of Irish soccer supporters knows no bounds lol, the previous two times they consistently booed players, were for their links to a club that has a connection to a Certain religious sect, now they boo a player for leaving another club that's affiliated to the same religious sect. They hate the English but follow their clubs to such a degree that it flows into international games.

as i don't follow soccer, what are you talking about? religious sects?

Glasgow Rangers are associated as a Protestant/Loyalist club but I'm not sure if their players are booed for that, more for that Rangers are, well used to be, huge rivals of Celtic.

Rangers? Aren't they primarily supported by Protestants while Celtic are Catholic?
