    Obesity is no longer regarded as kcals in=energy out simple formula.

    HAES makes the point that we seem to have forgotten that correlation is not causation and looks at things the other way around: what if obesity is the body's way of dealing with diabetes? rather than obesity causing diabetes Type 2.

    While calories and intake are important, we also need to consider psychological, social and cultural factors.
    Nothing in those links explains how to break the laws of thermodynamics. If you don't consume enough food for your bodys requirements each day it will start to break down it's own cells to fuel the rest.
