Not sure why people are worried about title of a forum who's charter, from 2007, edited in 2011 and not since, first paragraph reads as follows:
The aim of this forum is to allow you to discuss all the classic games (Arcade, Console or otherwise) that you remember from years gone by. To help you set up the software that emulates these games and discuss the emulation scene in general.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

So is the Cd-i properly emulated yet?

Howdy all hope all is well. Things still as messed up as they were but we are getting through.

    So what is it?

It's been too long, you're the one that plays Repton really well wasn't it? Jkjk
Hopefully not a flying visit and glad ye're getting through.

Since emulation was added to the title I kinda had to come back lol

Not just a flying visit I shall be sure to pop my head up from under the bridge now and then :)

I think in the ensuing decade since that was written, the forum has more than established itself as a place for enthusiasts who prefer original hardware, as has retro gaming as a whole. Emulation chat here has always died a death, no matter what the charter of yore says :D

We should have added it sooner if it could have gotten you out from under the bridge :pac:
Glad to hear, hope (not so) Little Sparks is doing well too

Damn, I really need Pac Man 8k for my 2600....

I'd rather a cart though, rather than a flash cart with the image on it.
It's probably a semantic difference overall but a dedicated cart would be nice in the collection.

I still like Frye's original, probably more for nostalgia than quality. Didn't realise it made him a millionaire, his reaction to the 8k version was interesting, a mixture of love and hate I think.

Arcade and Retro and emulation......pinball fans feck off!

Seriously when can we get pinball in the title for Me, Arseholefinger, Cathal, Ollie (I think thats all the pin owners here right?)

I cant take emulation seriously because one of the rom sites I used to use had a lot of Hentai ads on the side. So whenever I play emulated games I think of hentai and feel like a perv

    You might be right....
Of course, all your doing is triggering Hentai fans.
    That is to say, Retr0....

Bit of an update on the Spectrum Next.

Looks like the bare board (devkit) version is ready for production and should ship to those backers this month as scheduled.

I backed the full fat version so roll on Jan 2018! Can't wait!

Yeah, I've backed the accelerated version too. Really looking forward to it, and playing the new Dizzy, new Nodes of Yesod, the Donkey Kong rip off Jim Bagley is doing, the Pogie port, and the lemmings port! Mainly I'll end up playing my standard spectrum games on it, Rebelstar and Laser Squad as always.

Also, further down the line, tinkering with the different cores that should play nicely on it like Galaga, Phoenix and even *cough* commodore 64 *cough*

Very exciting, it'll be even better when we see the real McCoy keyboard.

Oh well, give me an easy life and a peaceful death.

Bizarre. Things like this and the new console are doing a lot to correct their image problems. Guess they've got to get the development community onside.

All good news today, seems I can't comment on Team Retrobox's Facebook page anymore!
Scurrilously describing it as a RPi seems to have caused my membership to be revoked.

All videogame developers need to just down tools and give up. Recently videogaming reached it's logical conclusion, it's creative peak if you will.

    Gal*Gun VR is out now.

And I'm sure as a nurse, he'll be forever saying "It's too bad she won't live...".

Limited Run is so bloody frustrating.

Twice I tried to get 'Night Trap' on PS4 and sold out within one minute. Had them in my basket on both occasions and sold out when I put the payment details in.

You know that close to, if not the majority, will be resold.

Videogame music is beautiful sometimes. Was listening to the Yoshi's Island soundtrack earlier. So nostalgic for me, my eyes were getting a little moist. :-)
