    So what is it?

    :P
It appears to be a show called Red Dwarf, a popular situation comedy set in the far distant future where one David Lister is the last known human in the known universe, accompanied with Arnold Rimmer, a hologram based on his dead former bunkmate whom due to failure of properly replacing the ship's drive plate, resulted in the death of the entire crew, their humanoid cat known as Cat, and their service mechanoid Kryten.

If anyone else in an audiobook nut and a red dwarf fan I highly recommend the 2 audio books that were released. Only listened to them recently and Chris Barrie (Rimmer) is excellent at voicing the whole cast!

Looks like the Castle of Illusion remake will be delisted from digital stores so best pick it up sharpish. It's going cheap on the humble store currently.

Thanks for the reminder! Looks like they were in demand too:
ATTENTION: We have run out of Steam keys for Castle of Illusion. We are getting more ASAP. We will have Steam keys for you as soon as they are available again!

There's going to be stupidly high-priced PS3s being sold because they have it on the HDD, isn't there?

Bit of a weird one that game. Never played the original, but the remake is only, aboutish, 4 hours long. 2 of which must be that inexplicably unskippable cutscence before the last boss. I don't mean only on your first merry-go-round either. Irrespective of how many times you die, you're gonna be seeing that scene every damn time.

The original game is pretty short as well and way too easy.

I much prefer the original game, Castle of Illusion suffers from 'Duck Tales remake' sysndrome. The original is a pretty straight forward platformer that never lets up. The remake like duck tales doesn't know when to shut the **** up. There's tonnes of exposition that just slows the game down and isn't needed. The stupid door scene right near the start is a good example of how stupid it gets.

I was expecting you to return the favour by saying "so what is it" again. That's why I typed in such a Kryten-y way.

Here's a really good video about Shovel Knight and how it picked the best bits of retro era games (along with modern techniques) to make it so good. Unlike Mighty No. 9. :P

Well, that's disappointing. I was hoping it would be a mod to allow you to play light gun games on a HDTV.

One of the saddest losses when LCDs took over :( - have tried some more modern motion controlled ones and I don't know what it is, they just don't feel right. I think it's the lag.

I'll always have a CRT to at least let me play some Time Crisis and HOTD2.

The ones that work on light sensors just aren't accurate the way old light gun games were. I used to aim down the sights playing games like Virtua Cop, Time Crisis and Lethal Enforcers but it's pointless with something like a Wiimote or the last Guncon model unless you have it properly calibrated and for that you need at least two sensors on a screen like the way the powerglove worked.
